Whatever your opinion about Steve Jobs may be, one can't deny his visionary and negotiating skills. After reading about his dealings for Pixar with Disney, I'll definitely adopt the use of whiteboards and if not available definitely making a pros and cons list.

Steve Jobs was perhaps the greatest marketer of our age. He didn't invent anything, or he wasn't the first to make something. However, he knew how to spot items which he could market to a high level. his became apparent in his 2nd tour with Apple, which procuded iPod and iPhone.

Definitely had that ability to foresee where technology would go and definitely knew how to sell/market. That's why iPhones are for example so in demand, while there could be better and cheaper phones out there.

Steve Jobs was one of the few people who didn't just market a product or a service but also a lifestyle as well. That's not easy to do.

I forgot about that.... The jeans and turtleneck for instance. He really thought it all through...

Not to mention the lifestyle and status that Apple products brought with them.

During his 1st tour @ Apple, he may have been like any other company founder or top-level person. After he was fired & forced 2"wander the wilderness," that may have been when he discovered the elements which make him the icon we remember 2day. Look @ NeXT Computers

Yeah, saw a documentary about his life and how he was forced out of the company, until they needed him back and this was right after he had changed his lifestyle and way of doing business.
