Complaints about the outage of WhatsApp, FB and IG came seeping in, when they were finally up and there I was not even realizing something was awry until I received texts and calls the old fashioned way. If they only knew the added value of dBuzz and decentralized blogging☕

Interestingly enough, the outage of FB, IG, and WA didn't impact me or my business at all. Which I think says a lot about the state of things. The only thing that I like about FB are some of the groups I'm in. Good content shared by good folks. Other than that....meh.

Same here, it the groups that I miss about FB and IG bores me and WA, I don't feel like I can trust that anymore...

I spent the day on Twitter Spaces and here on Hive. The bigger picture I think is the realization for folks who are only connected on FB, IG, WA that they should NOT have all their eggs in one basket.

I'm hardly opening IG 😂🤣.
That's because the friends and family and groups I follow are posting the same content or cross posting. I'm like "do I really need to like those same pictures for a second time?"

I got bored with it- pretty much right from the beginning. Now I can't even sign into my first account, only the second..🙄

And my friend Sabrina is having exactly the same issue and we have tried everything with no joy so gave up...

Wow... That sucks. I do have some family members who stopped posting on FB and only on IG, so that's where I "catch up" with them, but don't open the app as often though.

Same for me and to "stay connected" with what others are doing or into. I usually use FB to mindlessly scroll and occasionally "like" stuff, but hardly post anything.

I do get that a lot of people are living off of those platforms, but if they only knew the other alternatives...

#dbuzz would have been very useful at a time like that, as well as #hive.

As for why that happened, I'm partial to the theory that it was a distraction from whistleblower testimony made to the US Congress today. They could be unrelated events, but timing is suspect.

I was actually thinking that exact same thing myself too!

If it was actually 'unrelated' what bad timing...

I wasn't even aware that this "whistleblower testimony made to the US Congress" was happening until you've mentioned it. I try to stay away from news and only some days in the week I'll check it, to stay updated.

Thanks for mentioning it.

Thank you for the ENGAGE!

News these days isn't what it was when we were younger. These days, it's like seeing a facade B4 we break thru 2go down a rabbit hole 4 what we're not allowed 2know. D "whistleblower" is getting positive reveiws, so right there something isn't right.

True and it's also for my state of mind. There's so much negativity out there or bad news. I guess positive things happening aren't news worthy these days or not as breaking.

We all need the best state of mind we can find for ourselves. It's OK to know that some things out there are bad; that's just part of life. We need content that makes us feel good after we read/listen/consume it. If we want negativity, that's what parking tickets are for.

Hahahahaaa, funny you mention that... In Suriname we don't know that 🙈. There's only ticketing for unsafe driving or without a license or not having insurance, those kinds tickets.

We do have laws for illegal parking and there are designated parking and non parking zones, but I wouldn't know if you'll get a ticket. The car will be towed away, that's for sure and the cost for the towing company will be on your bill.

A car getting towed away is just as bad or even worse! It can take all day to get the car free and out of the impound.

Once in a while someone pays a parking ticket using the 1-cent coins just to make a point. It's not easy carrying that amount of cents!

That's true and to think it'll be towed away and you have no other way of transportation. One after the other expenses.

If I'll ever live or work in a country where this is mandatory, I'll have to get used it 🙈.

You would have to get used to paying for parking tickets. The payment in cents is optional; leave that to the eccentric people among us.
