Choosing the best cards to build the STRONGEST decks: Deep Guidelines for the BEGINNERS, Splinter Strategy 9

Hello, the beautiful people of Splinterverse. Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the recently introduced WILD and MODERN format in Splinterlands. I am also enjoying the new format with higher rewards options like more DEC in MODERN FORMAT while easier winning in WILD format for the new players like me.

In the last two weeks, I have introduced some strategic ways to find the new cheaper cards which can be very useful from many perspectives in the game such as winning with more DEC, and more R-shares. These cheaper and alternating cards can be useful and amazing options for the substituting of many expensive cards with high renting values. And also for price appreciation in the future, these cards can be solid investments in this dumped market. I hope this discussion will be very helpful for improving your Splinterlands experience.

Before discussing today's cards, I want to summarize some facts from the last week's post which have been considered for selecting these cards to be very useful, especially for new players who largely depend on the Chaos edition or current reward cards. And all of the discussion is for entertainment purposes, not for a financial suggestion or 100 proven strategies that have no failure. These all are based on my own experience in the Gold league and 1 year of the market follow-up of Splinterlands assets.

  • The most important fact of the overall discussion is about the scarcity of cards is eminent in the coming future if you are thinking that there will be a flood of cards after the Chaos packs are sold but according to their data only 6k max CL cards will be after all cards are printed. You can feel how much you need to max it according to your league after entering the gold league and in diamond or champion, you can’t imagine if you are not a whale or investing tons of money!

  • The DEC reward with the R-shares is directly related to the cards you are using starter cards will decrease your rewards significantly. And the Gold foiled, Alpha, Beta or Promo cards will increase your rewards significantly. And that alpha, beta, and promo cards are very expensive for leveling up. But with these cheap cards with the GF version you can get similar benefits to those expensive cards.

  • Besides, the recent announcement, they are planning or there is a possibility to distribute the rewards according to the card level to encourage players to buy and combine their cards and climb up to the higher league.

  • There are so many cheap cards that can be used as an alternative to many expensive cards in many cases to grow decks and higher rewards with a higher winning ratio.

  • Before investment, the utility of the cards should be considered to utilize them perfectly. For example, good DRAGON or NEUTRAL cards are always the best cards for overall decks.

  • As the Alpha and Beta cards are always out of the new players' budget, I will concentrate on Gold foiled new cards as they are cheap and the bonus is also included while used in the battle. But here in my discussion, I have introduced the per BCX value of these cards with the normal version as very few players can afford GF cards with max level according to their league.

  • Maximum cards will be focusing on the MODERN format as the modern cards are always usable in WILD format but the WILD cards are not allowed in Modern format. That is why the modern format is nowadays very competitive with higher DEC rewards!

Now let’s dive into the selected cards according to the Splinter teams. I have chosen several cards for each team and figured out the possible alternative to the expensive cards!

So, today I will introduce the DEATH, DRAGON, and the NEUTRAL team members. This part is the most important part because the Neutral and the Dragon cards can be combined with any team according to the rule sets. In the future, I will share some cheapest but most powerful combos from my experience. To get those updates, follow my profile if you are a Splinterlands player, it will be beneficial for your gaming experience!

DEATH SPLINTERS

I will discuss the TANKs first and then the supporting monsters for a clearer concept and build the deck accordingly. There should be some best TANKS and supporting monsters for any best decks.

TANK

One of my favorite and the best Tank in the Gold league is the CURSED WINDEKU which is awesome with solid speed, THORNES, and self-healing capability. And the price is just a half of a buck. Whereas the HAUNTED APIRIT or CORRUPTED PEGASUS is too expensive without the THORNES ability.

If you like the flying ability, then PELACOR DECEIVER is a great choice with very cheap price and with the BACKFIRE ability. And at higher level RETALIATE is also a great ability.

The NIGHTMARE is an awesome card with super speed and blast at lower level. Also the PHASE ability at higher level is extraordinary to take the role of TANK against the MAGIC oriented opponents.

If you want to choose the shield ability to make half of all the range and melee attacks, then HARKLAW is the best choice with compare to the super expensive LORD OF DARKNESS. Here, You can save $133 per BCX copy with some amazing ability like the IMMUNITY.

Supporting monsters

For sneak or opportunity attackers, the SILENT SHA-VI can be an amazing card with the cheapest cost with the CRIPPLE ability also in comparison to other monsters in the same category.

For life leech, VENARY BONESMITH is a great choice with another amazing ability of POISON.

The REVEALER is one of the best cards on DEATH team among the existing and the new cards. It is the combination of the two expensive abilities: STUN and the IMMUNITY. If you are buying cards, this card is a must-buy card.

For snipe attacks, the VENARI MAGI NECROSI is a good option instead of the other expensive TWISTED JESTER.

The DHAMPIR STALKER is a good range attacker with a lot of attacks.

Another solid RANGE attacker is the SOUL STRANGLER which is a low mana card with a lot of range attacks. It is a good card for low MANA matches.

DRAGON SPLINTER

There are so many DRAGON monsters which are amazing to keep in deck. In a similar approach, I will discuss the tanks first and then the supporting monsters.

TANKs

The most under-rated DRAGON TANK is the DJINN CHWALA which is a super cheap and super card with the THORNES ability and the RAGE at higher level. I am fan of this card and I use the GF version of a max copy of my gold league at very low cost. The other options are very expensive such as the CHROMATIC DRAGON or the RED DRAGON.

Another amazing card that can be a great TANK against RANGE and the MELEE attacks is the CARNAGE TITAN which is also one of my favorite. The shield ability in level 1 with the other amazing ability of the REACH and the DOUBLE STRIKE make this card a fantastic card. In the cheap and stronger deck-building process, this card is a must-buy card. It has also a significant number of armors with the SHIELD ability at level 3.

SUPPORTIVE MONSTERS

The CHAOS DRAGON is the best supportive card for high MANA matches. The flying ability and the scattershot is awesome to kill any monsters in any position. The BLAST ability at level 2 makes it a devastating card for any team! For cheap option it is better than the DIAMOND DRAGON or GOLD DRAGON.

Another super supporting cards in the Dragon team is the DHAMPIR INFILTRATOR and the TWILIGHT BASILIK which have several great abilities at a very low cost.

NEUTRAL SPLINTER

There are so many NEUTRAL monsters which are amazing to keep in deck. In a similar approach, I will discuss the tanks first and then the supporting monsters.

TANKs

The GARGOYA LION is the best neutral card as a TANK with Flying and the VOID ability at higher level with very cheap cost compare to other cards like the LORD ARIATHUS and RAGING IMPALER.

The SELF_HEALING TANK XENITH MONK is the cheapest choice from the NEUTRAL TEAM compare to the very expensive CORNEALUS.

SUPPORRTIVE CARDS

The GARGOYA DEVIL is an AWESOME RANGE attacker from the NEUTRAL team with some amazing abilities.

Another Range attacker the SUPPLY RUNNER is a great choice for range attacks with some good ability like the SWIFTNESS.

URAEUS is a great neutral EPIC as a sneak attacker with very low cost and low MANA. Also the POISON ability makes it an awesome card to put in the deck.

Now let's get the answers why I have compared with the ALPHA cards. I am mentioning this answers with further explanation in the following points.

  • The alpha cards will give you 10% bonus and any gold card will also give you 10% bonus, so why you need alpha play with the gold foiled cards from reward or CL edition.

  • Cost of upgradation is too high for alpha and the renting price is often can be loss with the reward ratio!

  • Alpha cards can't be used in the MODERN LEAGUE but any cards can be used in the WILD FORMAT.

  • New players can afford the new cards to build their decks.

Ultimate Conclusion

  • Buy the GF version of these super useful cards which you can frequently use in the modern format or in WILD format with very low cost from the REWARDS or CL editions.

  • Don't care about the strong WILD cards, strong modern decks can defeat most of the WILD decks with proper battle strategy.

  • Winning ratio is very important for the REWARD maximization which is directly correlated to the cards you are using in your DECK.
