I think that there is going to be strong pushback from the corporate world, but first they will try to mimic us with centralized fakes, and try to convince the mainstream it is the same.

If they see alternative systems or platforms taking their slice of the pie, you can bet the reaction will be swift and brutal. That is why it will be so important to build robust and immutable systems that they cannot touch. If digital currency and direct digital loans become a viable option why would we need banks charging us for these services when we can get them directly?
I can only imagine how fast the bankers would be pressing their friends in government for legislation to outlaw any of these practices. It will be a long and dirty fight but it can be won. It will take progressive governments to back these solutions as there will be huge pressure exerted to stop them by the more established powers.

Exactly.
Progressive governments will help, but the biggest driver needs to be the change in the economic powerhouse, the consumer behavior. Consume differently, everything changes.
