Leomarkettalk Comment Giveaway (September 2021)

We are going to do something to stimulate engagement on @leomarkettalk for the month of September.

A while back, we were giving out the LEO that the account received as rewards on a weekly basis. This was based upon the most comments per week.

The payouts went as followed:

Most comments - 50%
2nd most comments - 30%
3rd most comments - 20%

Comment Giveaway For September

What we are going to do is to have a month long contest. We are looking to incentivize engagement within the post on a daily basis.

Here are the rules:

  • @taskmaster4450le is ineligible
  • All stats will be pulled by @amr008 and his sign off on the numbers will be final.
  • @taskmaster4450le has the right to override any final decisions based upon antics that go against the nature of what is being promoted here.
  • No bots
  • Bullshit commenters will be excluded (Nice post: Thank you for sharing; etc)
  • A minimum of 10,000 comments for the month must be reached in total (If the 10K comments is not reached, we will roll this over to the following month)

Now for the fun stuff:

The token payouts will be as follows:

Top commenter - 50% of the total
2nd most commenter - 25% of the total
3rd most commenter - 15% of the total
4th most commenter - 10% of the total

First Pool: All the LEO in the @leomarkettalk account.

Here is what it looks like at the moment.

The payout will be in the above percentages in the amount of LEO that is in there now PLUS whatever comes in by the end of September. In other words, the total balance will be distributed to the 4 winners.

Hopefully a lot of people from LEO will support the daily posts with upvotes to push the total higher.

Second Pool: All the HBD in the @leomarkettalk account.

This is what that account looks like.

Like with the LEO, whatever HBD is in the account plus what comes in by the end of September will be doled out.

Third Pool: Delegation

Whatever HP is in the account by the end of September will be delegated to the top commenter for the month of November (or until I remember to undelegate it).

This will allow the person a bit greater voting power to enhances one's curation.

This is what we will do for the month of September.

Hopefully it provides a bit of excitement for what we are already doing. A key point is to keep working on the SEO by highlighting out comments the way we have been.

One question: is this going to be scored based on amr's engagement formula or just number of comments? As you have probably noticed my comments tend to be closer to posts than comments some days....

We simply are going to use number. Over the course of a month, it all evens out.

Yes I did notice some of your comments and I can get wordy too.

Break some of them up if you want. Cut it into two or three comments. With the length of them, they can each serve as their own comment.

Not bad at all, could I recommend something (I'm sure you might still be doing it though) Random upvotes on quality comments is a solid reward in itself that is quick and builds engagement as well.

I can vouch that most of the quality comments in LMT gets upvoted .

So for me the prize pool is just a bonus really .

The main idea is to share opinions, answer other people's questions, ask questions of your own... there are many ways to engage there!

This is a conversation hosted by a post. Share ideas, exchange comments, shoot the breeze, have fun. It's also a way for people to match a person with the person's name, and that helps with upvotes and engagement going forward.

A few other tribes or communitites do something similar, but the most active seems to be the one here at LeoFinance.

Solid idea and with that massive reward pool i'm sure it's going to be efficient aand will like in my case draw in new active members, i am more excited about having delegated to leo.voter and beginning to step in to this community which is kind of the golden standard for hive communities, at least you guys and your work make the token a prestigious one.

And one that i´m proud to have in my portfolio!

Already 2.5 ish Leo´s =) I will be trying my best to follow your threads and engage when appropriate, i doubdt that i can contend for the top places... maybe one day tough.

This is awesome! I'm just a bit worried about the potential spam we can see because of this. If you only count the number of comments it's easy to manipulate it by making a lot of half-assed comments.

I would definitely recommend looking at the comments made by the potential winners, just to make sure that there aren't just a bunch of spam at the end of the day. Especially with a prize pool like that.

Only the LeoFinance front-end can be used to make the comments and replies to comments. Part of that is earnings, part of that is statistics.

In general, author rewards and curation rewards earned are greater when the LeoFinance front-end is used. Using a different front-end (say, PeakD or proofofbrain.io) to make comments at LeoFinance is cheating yourself out of rewards. All front-ends operate that way, so it's not personal.

Just to be safe, it's LeoFinance all the way whhen engagging with LeoFinance content.

Freaking awesome idea Task. Mind-blowing opportunity especially for newbies to up their game by 10x or 100x. There's unlimited potential in this one.

We cannot ignore the fact that all participants can make a lot of LEOs just by commenting daily throughout September. Most importantly, it's a great opportunity to make cool friends.

I will definitely be doing my part. May the best commenter win. 10K is not a huge number, should be easy peasy for us.

I'm not very used to LeoFinance, there are so many blogs/tokens on Hive, and i'm mainly using those related to music for now. But i'm very interested in crypto and finance, even if i'm just playing with margin trading and staking for now. I'll definitely look closer to LeoFinance blog to learn from others experience, and try to make some posts to share mine.

LeoFinance may be focused on crypto and old-school finance topic (stocks, precious metals, banking, etc.), but it has room for anything which relates to either (for example, how crypto is affecting life in El Salvador, the explosion in activity thanks to blockchain gaming, and how NFTs are revolutionizing the compensation of artists in music).

Even if you don't publish a post at LeoFinance, engagement via comments is very high and rewarding. Along the way, you pick up new knowledge and ideas which can help you on Hive and offline.

Don't worry about not being a finance expert or a crypto guru, either. If you can relate crypto to your field of interest, feel free to publish a post along those lines. People need to see how crypto is impacting how things are done. People need to see how crypto is leveling the playing field in favor of the people.

LeoFinance is a topic-specific community, but it is broad enough that any newcomer here can find a suitable niche within it. Welcome to LeoFinance!
