  • individual sense of presence - the environment is now "smart" nor does it remember.
  • continuity of data - go look at a tree and does the system remember all who were by the tree? Not if it is on the periperhy.

Second Life is nowhere near the Metaverse people are talking about.

Massive indeed. I think its still #1 virtual market.

Huh? They have a decent engine, which isn't rendering everything in real time yet as it evolves it could have many more dynamic elements.

It's persistent.

Another thing that can functionally be implemented.

In the end, it's hardly that they are "not even close" but very indistinguishable.
