Today's experience at work: conducting lentiviral test in the Lab.

I am glad to be here again today and to share with you guys my experience so far at work today,just as I am at my office today, a client just walked in and hand over to me Doctor's request form then I collected it and open to see that doctor requested for the patient to undergo lentiviral screening, so I ask the client to sit on a chair comfortably then I started bringing out my materials needed which are lancets, gloves, buffer, alcohol swab, determine strip.

After I have set up all the materials needed, then I always make sure to put on my laboratory suit, and have put on my gloves so I cleaned the clients thumb after when I pricked it gently and I squeezed the thumb to get a drop of blood on the strip then I added determine buffer immediately so I allowed it to read for 5mins at least after when I discovered the result was positive, then i have to confirm my result again by me using unigold kits,but after when have dropped a drop of blood and added a drop of buffer it turns out to be positive, so i had no option than to record the result and washed my hand thoroughly using running water. Meanwhile I gave the result to the client for her to returned it to doctors office for proper counselling. So that all I have to share with you guys,our slogan here is health is wealth may God provide us with good health to survived.
