Are Multi Level Marketing (MLM) Platforms, Ponzi Scheme?

So today, a friend told me about one of the "new cool" ways he has been earning online for a while now and unfortunately, he isn't the first person that has mentioned this platform to me in the past week. Why "unfortunately" is that, I do have a rule of some sort and although a flexible one, I've stood by this rule for a pretty long g time now ans it has saved me alot of trauma when it comes to scam platforms posing as money making platforms. The rule is to not get involved with any "money making" platform that's quite popular among my country men, and as harsh as it sounds, the reality is that its quite easy to set up a scam platform around since the law only bends for those with money and you can basically get away with any crime so long you know someone who knows someone.

Well back to MLM. This friend however, told me that MLM were a different ball game and you all the y need from their users where to refer the company to new users, and the chain continues. Well,to be honest, this isn't a new thing to me, as I was a one time active member of an MLM platform and I can boldly say only those who take part of MLMs know if it is a ponzi scheme or not. No single ponzi scheme platform would tell you they're here to scam you, but after joining and realising things aren't as you've been told, those who wish to scam others to atleast get back the money they used for registration or level up, will continue using the platform and those who think it's not worth their time will stop and move on.

One of the key features of many MLM platforms are their regular show of prizes and awards liek cars and tours around the world. This tactics is a very productive one in country where so many people live in abject poverty and these two things are some prove of success in the business. Well, from my experience, people would end up paying money to register for theee platforms and then begin looking for people that would also pay to register, hence keeping the pyramid scheme going.

In conclusion, I no longer get involved with any both (MLM or not) without any solid proof and legitimate proof on how they make money and pay their users. They mostly turn out to be a scam at the end of the day. It might take years or even a decade, but systems that aren't sustainable like those of ponzi schemes end up crashing to the ground. As for MLM, noatter the kind, I think only those involved would know if they're scams or not.
