Yeah, you can tell the ones who are willing to put in the work and the ones that don't. Rewards do not always show this which can bring down moral in a way, but you just have to keep driving and compounding those rewards! One day people can live off of them, just takes time. But Hive is the best way to get started with virtually no investment, although buying and staking a bit of Hive always helps, lol.

I look at it this way. We are winning by being active here. Small wins are still wins and they stack up. We don't get anything out of being active on the centralized social media platforms so it's totally worth being active here on Hive.
