Sunday Not So Funday On Splinterlands- Took a Beating - Setting new Splinterlands Goals for 2022

Well folks, I guess today wasn't my day. It started off kind of hit or miss, seemed like people just giving up before the battle begun, but once people started playing, is when it got fun.

It wasn't the best day for me. I took more loses than wins, but that is okay, I was able to battle up well into Bronze III only to get myself knocked right back down to novice after a 4 battle losing streak, but it is what it is. I was able to get myself back up to the Bronze III level before I called it quits for the day so at least I am holding strong there, lol.

Here was the nice little 4 battle winning run...

Followed by an absolute butt whooping for the next 4 rounds, lol...

I am still learning the process, but finally getting the hang of things. Just need to get better with these smaller mana battles. I am good with the large mana cap battle, but those sub 20 mana battle, I am honestly not as good at.

But hey, I am loving this game so the more I play the more I will figure it out and be able to move up the ranks.

My Splinterlands Goals for 2022

I want to be able to dedicate at least 1 hour a day to play the game to try and increase the skill sets and move up the ranks as well as make a daily game post. I have yet to be able to make it up to Bronze II since all the new mechanics were set into place a few months ago, so I have been happy with getting to Bronze III and getting my chest rewards.

My goal is to be able to at least get to Bronze II by the end of each season of Quarter 1. I have kept the 1000 + deck power I will need to at least be able to run in Bronze II. The rest I have rented out earning that sweet passive DEC income.

I figure that hey it's something that I can at least do to end my evenings and chill out, but at the same time...it's also a form of income, so it's win win!

I stated in another goals post that I wanted to be able to get to at least 15k deck power and I would like to be able to get to at least 1000 SPS staked by the end of the year. I may end up buying to packs and keeping them unopened for a while to earn some SPS as well as stack up as much DEC and SPT tokens as I can. Not trying to put as much of a goal number on those, just want to keep stacking!

My daughter said she has a new goal and that is to beat me in Splinterlands, well I am accepting the challenge and putting my game face on!

Be Cool, Be Real, and always Abide!

Good stuff man! I just went nuts and bought like 360 packs, pulled a few golden legendaries and have a shitload of cards to rent out now :D

The daily airdrop from collection power + DEC is also nice - earning about 9 SPS/day atm between that and staked SPS yields, + some vouchers (which I'm now swapping for more SPS as well).

I think I'll hold on to DEC as that seems to be increasing in price + also boosts daily airdrop amounts. What's your strategy there?

I have been rolling the DEC into more cards, but I think I am going to work the same strategy to get more airdrops

Good stuff - it's tempting to want to buy more packs, but I think at this point it's smarter to wait until P2 is over and vouchers are no longer needed for packs.

Are you going to buy any packs to hold long term as well? I think i'm going to buy ~100 packs or so to hold on to long term. I've watched the value of previous sets skyrocket and seems like a solid play.

yeah I am going to sit on some unopened packs and chill for a bit to earn more SPS.

My goal is to try and get to at least Bronze II by the end of each season. I am going to start doing a 10 battle daily challenge for myself first thing in the morning before gym.

Currently writing my post. It will help me kind of figure out my strategies and such and be accountable to myself, lol. Making it part of the grind.

I wish I could go that hard into it, but I am basically paying bills with this stuff right now so I am trying to get to a place to where I can accumulate again, which is what I am using Splinterlands for right now, all my other rewards are basically getting paid out to bills and such.

I feel you bro, I had to focus on my bills first before even considering anything like this. Crushing debts feels great though, and I've worked big time to reduce my monthly expenses except for what I really need - food, water, shelter, etc. Everything else I'm able to pocket and invest now.

Splinterlands looks incredibly promising as a long term play. Even though my yields are only 20%ish right now from rentals, I'm quickly learning how to boost that, both through airdrop restaking (i'm up to almost 14 SPS/day now after selling a few summoners that weren't earning me shit in rentals).

The value of cards long term is what really intrigues me. After seeing the Yodin Zaku i pulled in the summer of 2020 now worth 30x what i sold it for, I'm a believer, lol.

I may try and play a little daily too, I never really took the time to learn how the hell to play Splinterlands lol, so I've always sucked at it. Might be a good way to unwind at the end of the day, like you say!

I have about 2 more years of the big bills, about a year and a half of child support left and then about 2 years of debt… well not counting the student loans… but yeah we won’t talk about that, lol.

Hey, gotta report all the stuff, lol. Wins and loses. Gotta learn from those loses… which I apparently haven’t done because I am already 0-3 this morning, lol.

Those low level mana matches always challenge me as well. Hopefully the new year will see you getting a lot better at those. Those are some great goals to have. Good luck at completing them.
