dCity/Hive Punks Student Claim Drop is Live
The dCity Hive Punks claim drop is now live. You can visit the Hive Punks promotions page to participate.
You will receive 1 dCity Student NFT (potentially with debt) per Punk you own. You can only claim once per 24 hours per Punk. If you purchase new punks you can claim again immediately and those new punks will be eligible. Every claim will reset all your punks timer. So it is ideal to claim once per day, so if you plan on adding more punks, do it before you claim.
There are just over 8,300 Students available to claim, thanks to the generocity of @gerber and his dCity project.
This claim drop is available as long as we have students available. It is unknown how long this will last but you may be able to claim for a few days. It is first come first serve.
At the time each student is worth around 0.9 Hive, 1.2 if it has Debt. This will likely change over time, and they can be converted once they have debt to something that potentially worth more (or less) depending on how lucky you get.
Keep track when you claim as there is no way to see publicly when you are able to claim again.
**You only need to hit claim once, it will claim for all Punks in your gallery.

It is the time you claim. Each punk is put on a 24 hour cooldown.

Not really, due to how Hive Engine works. What you are doing when you claim is broadcasting a custom json to the blockchain. A bot then watches for this and responds and sends the NFTs if appropriate. Then they arrive.
Just assume it works (cause it does, and you only have to do it once).
You can verify they arrived in dCity game or on Tribal Dex OpenHive a little bit after you claim.
I'm not providing a success/fail message to the user for similar reasons and I'm gonna dive into this soon. I was wondering if it's not enough to just scan blocks right before broadcasting the operation and continue doing so for a few seconds to make sure that the operation has no errors. Wouldn't that work?
You will get a transaction id, and you can check with polling if that transaction exists on the blockchain.

Yes, I claimed again and it worked. It was definitely over 24 hours the first time but there must have been a lag or something in the timer reset. Today I claimed before 7:30 Central so we'll see if I have the same problem tomorrow. Either way, I don't really care. Just happy to be getting them... :-)

I clicked claim but doesn't feel like it went through.
You need to wait about 1 minute then check on dcity.io or tribaldex under open hive. You only need to click once.

I love your continued support to hive games my brother. I already had a meager stable of 6 hive punks I have acquired in the past year. Today, in support of your support, and also for selfish reasons for my pursuit of knowledge and riches in the wonderful @dcitygame , I increased my holdings from 6 ==> 58 hive punks today. Bought out everything below 20 hive, which If I am not mistaken, was the mint price of the hive punks, I believe it was cheaper if minted during a DGYCON event also initially.
I also acquired over 2500 APE in the recent dip in price.

I saw that, the market history is flooded with your name now. I think you picked up 53 punks or so, amazing!
The original price was 20 Hive and was going to go up to 35 Hive after Hivefest, but it was sold out before the event ended.
You may still be able to get 2 claims in before we run out, with about roughly 1 Hive worth of students every Punk per claim, you got a nice discount on that floor sweep.
Speaking of Ape, I am probably going to do a similar claim drop soon for APE tokens to liquidate the dev share we have.
Nice I think its a solid investment at below mint prices, Ill have to reload my limit buys once my passives start coming again for APE. Im betting many that claim the students wont even be playing the game and likely dump the students, so I placed all my sim to buy students also, we shall see.
Also I notice your author preferences hid the pgm and luv tip comments, id love to know how to set that up, a lot of people who comment on my posts leave tip tokens and id love to do that to clean it up so people dont scroll a mile. is it a peakd setting?

This is a 2-3 day claim, I didn't bother building in all sorts of fancy stuff. You can tell the last time you claimed by looking at Hiveblocks.com and seeing when you sent the custom json, or just writing down the time. If this was long term, I'd do something other than that.
