This Is Awesome
The goal of this project is to grow the Hive ecosystem by rewarding awesome content, and we do that by following curation trails that curates good content, much of it manually, and in the following categories.
- The #iamalivechallenge (ALIVE)
- The #larryisalive contest (CTP & ALIVE)
- The CTPtalk tribe (CTP)
- The Actifit Dapp (SPORTS)
- The #Freewrite project (CCC)
Then we also highlight 5 posts on most days (not all days), 1 from each category in a PeakD Curated Collection post.

- APR Start All = The APR counted from our launch at our starting price of 1 Hive.
- APR Now All = The APR counted with the current price, and using the whole history from our launch.
- APR Now Week = The APR counted with the current price, and using the history of the last week.
- Backing Hive = The combination of the Hive Power on @thisisawesome and the Hive in our buy order on @awesomecuration.
Token Value (100% backed) is now 7.261 Hive per AWESOME.
Delegate Hive Power to @thisisawesome, 1 HP or more, open your wallet in PeakD or Ecency to make the delegation, we reward HP delegators with a weekly payout on Mondays, including AWESOME tokens.
The New Roadmap Has Been Implemented
Some time ago now we made an updated roadmap for our AWESOME token as the supply on @awesomecuration was running low, read it here, This Is Awesome - Updated Roadmap For Our AWESOME Token.
After a few buy backs we have now run out of AWESOME tokens on @awesomecuration, and the new roadmap is in effect and has been implemented.
1 - Burning Of Non Issued Tokens
The non issued tokens of the Max Supply that where still sitting on @awesometoken has now been burned by sending them to @null

So the Circulating Supply is now all tokens that can ever be on the market, all the rest is burned, and no more tokens can be issued.
2 - @thisisawesome Is Buying Tokens On The Market
The liquid Hive earnings that @thisisawesome was earlier using to buy AWESOME tokens at Token Value from @awesomecuration is now being used to buy AWESOME tokens on the market.
We have put up the first standing buy order already, and will keep doing that throughout the week, and once it is time for the weekly payouts to delegators we will close them and buy the rest on the market.
These standing buy orders are put up as the top buy order, and this will push the price floor upwards, and differ from the standing buy order at Token Value from @awesomecuration, so expect a price increase.
3 - Burning Of Token Buy Backs
Any buy backs on @awesomecuration will now be burned by sending those AWESOME tokens to @null, so far we have not had any, but they will most likely be coming.
Mention Of HP Delegators And AWESOME Token Holders
To notify the accounts relevant for this announcement we will mention all HP delegators, and also AWESOME token holders that have a balance of 0.1 AWESOME and above.

Did I understand this correctly? There were 10 million AWESOME tokens to start with, but some were not sold/won/given away, so now there are only 581?
Ok, there are decimals, but 581 is so few! 0.00581% of the orginal max supply!

The 10 million was the max that could be printed, we never printed that much though, what we did now was to burn all tokens left that could be printed, so the 581 tokens in circulation is now the max cap, and printing more is not even a theoretical possibility.

I was trying to wrap my head around this concept... you're saying "no more can be printed", but you have a total supply of 10M tokens. So will new tokens continue to be distributed? I'm a bit confused.

Whoa! I don't understand how that's sustainable... how that can still be the number of tokens in ten years.
I appreciate you sticking with me and trying to explain. I was actually thinking of picking your brain a little bit about this token, as I may try to conceptualize my own project in the future and this has been my favorite example. I don't even know where I would want to start the conversation though... and this curve-ball has me perplexed.
Having said all that, I trust your decisions with this project... I guess that's why I'm so damn curious. 🙂
Adding more supply lowers the APR, so continueing to printing more tokens after our burn/issue policy ran out of supply would be hurting the long term value increase of the token.
And as to ten years it is very likely that more tokens have been burned, since now the tokens bought back by our backing Hive order on @awesomecuration will be burned, further lowering the supply and increasing the APR.
Thanks for your trust, and sorry that you missed the announcements about the update.
The focus of any update has always been, and continues to be, the growth rate of the token value that is backing our AWESOME token, and it requires both strong tokenomics and growth of leverage.

If you look at the market you see that standing buy orders are growing, and @thisisawesome has part of them, this means that the price in the market is increasing relative to Token Value which is where the buy order from @awesomecuration is set at.
That difference is what is driving buying and selling in the market.

I somehow skipped over the "burning" part of your previous comment, so I think I am beginning to understand the mechanics a little better. There should always be a supply outstanding because of your perpetual buy (and burn) orders.
