Starting 2022 reaching my goal and setting new Hive (working) goals | Happy New Year!
Hive Power goal reached!
Let's start this last post of the year with some awesome news of reaching my Hive Power goal before the end of the year!
I wanted to have 1500 HP before the end of the year, and on December 30, I managed to get it done. I had to swap my liquid HBD savings for Hive to make it happen, but that's no biggie as it was for a great cause!
I powered up the part needed to get to 1500 exactly so that I had some spare Hive to buy another token on HE, and there it was the 1500 Hive Power. I'm very happy!
Looking at my account growth since October 1st, you can see a dip in HP as I needed to power down a bit at the time, but I managed to climb up again thanks to reaching this goal in time. The powering down is something that I don't see happening anymore. I will only allow myself to cash out if it's from a liquid balance from now on. I foresee a steady growth of my account for the next months and by the end of 2022, I feel comfortable setting my new goal at 5000 HP.
My Hive & other tokens on Hive goals for 2022
For now, I will only set the total I wish to accumulate before the end of 2022 in this post, later I will divide this into smaller steps.
- Hive Power: 5000 by the end of December 2022
- Leo Power: 2500 by the end of December 2022
- BRO: 250 by the end of December 2022
- SPS: 10000 by the end of December 2022
- CTP: 10000 by the end of December 2022
I'm also looking into buying $CUB again for the airdrop, but I'm not sure if I'm still on time to do so. I will have to give that some thoughts in the next week and see if I can make that happen or just accept the fact that I can't join them all.
How am I going to achieve this? By setting Hive working goals!
First, inspired by @taskmaster4450le's blog about setting working goals instead of the usual goals building stakes, I decided to mix my new years goals up with working goals as well. He's right, these goals are probably even more important to make the others happen.
Second, Inspired by @cmplxty and his awesome achievement I'm going to set this goal for myself as well. Just slightly different, as I feel I have enough to share and set my bar slightly higher to 500 posts in 2022.
It's indeed a challenge, but I'm very eager to make it happen. This will also challenge me to up my commenting game on a more regular basis. I miss having some blogs lined up, and I will go back into this routine as I mostly have two full weekend days of office to myself and when used efficiently, I can create more content at once, using the content planner to publish the next day(s).
Something that I'm trying to do better and learn more about is formatting my content. I've got some things I still want to learn and this is high on my list for 2022 to improve my skills regarding formatting. It takes more time to create the content before publishing, but in the end it's worth it!
Hive Working Goals 2022:
- 500 posts in 2022
- More engagement
- 2500 HBD saved by the end of 2022
- Try to have a constant liquid balance to ride the waves and accumulate more coins
More engagement will lead to more eyes on my account and hopefully more votes when I publish something, this will lead to more HBD that I have liquid as well as in savings and in the end, this 2500 HBD savings goal will lead to a solid passive income of a nice sum HBD each year. Everything is connected.
2022 is going to be my year
I know many others may say the same, which is fine! We can all flourish this year, even better if we do because that means more good vibrations in the world. We've personally been building towards this moment and we first decided to have a solid plan in early 2022 at the latest, while now we are steps ahead and already planning the things for later 2022. I feel in every cell of my body that this year is going to be the best ever for our family and therefore I truly can't wait for the countdown to the New Year.
We will just have a drink at home with some good chats together envisioning the next year and now it's up to us to make it happen. I'm ready, more than I ever was!

I think you have some awesome goals and I'm glad that I motivated you to get into posting daily. I think you can definitely keep that aspiration alive! I'm wondering how you are going to track it, are you going to keep a spreadsheet going so you know when you've hit 500 or not? Just curious!
With increased posting and presence, one of the things that definitely is important is the engagement. I've tried my best to keep up with all of my posts' comments and checking out people in my feed, it gets a little tricky sometimes but it's manageable!
I think if we keep as many good vibes as we can throughout life, we can fight back against these crazies that want to keep people constantly scared and depressed. We don't need to let them ruin our spirit!
Look forward to what 2022 brings us and beyond! I know I'll be sure to try and visit here as often as I can :D
Thank you! I could have done it sooner if I wasn't so focused on a few others like BRO because those earn me daily dividends and the Hive goal was also set partially for the speak network & ragnarok snapshots.
You were right though with the 2 a day would be tricky, life happens quite often (lol) so this goal will give me more room to work up front and skip a few days of content creation. Awesome that you already made that happen this year, did you set a new goal for 2022? I may have missed it if so.
I will probably check my current stats somewhere on peakd/hivestats/hiveblocks (need to check where lol) and make a screenshot in a bit to see where I was at before I started. I think that's easier than a spreadsheet that will add more work to achieving the goal.
The engagement is something I often struggle with, but the weird thing is when Hive was booming those weeks, and I had MANY posts and high rewards, I was in such a good flow creating content while also hitting engagement ATH's. So, therefore, I know that when I'm in that flow, I can actually achieve a lot more compared to when I struggle to write something. My aim is really to be in THAT state of mind more often, even if it's just a few days a week (focused on hive I mean) then I'd do very well.
Exactly! And to be brutally honest, I find more of these vibes on Hive as there are many like-minded people, compared to real life and other platforms. Therefore, being present on Hive is a win-win: for good vibes as well as reaching goals.
I will too, and I also added you to my alt auto vote btw. @thisismylife.diy as I noticed you sometimes have DIY content there and I have a BUIDL stake that makes it fun to vote. On the other hand, I often forget to check it daily so at least that way I will not miss voting your posts there. :)

I need to get me some more BRO, I got a lot of it by winning contests and stuff but that seems to have stopped altogether lol. I also randomly got 32 BRO from someone for no reason at all, or at least no explanation. Was happy as hell about that one!
I'm glad that you figured out a manageable medium! Twice a day is certainly a lot. It's not impossible, Galen and Taraz do it but I don't know if it's for everyone lol Once a day is great, sprinkle in some extras here and there and you've got yourself on the way to 500!

Thanks, I appreciate getting added to an alt for BUIDL. I still find their choice of a token name strange but I'm rolling with it lol. I've got like 1.5 million BUIDL, I snapped up a lot of them when they first went on sale! I wanted to be a whale in something lol I don't know if I'm still up there, a lot of people bought some at a cheap price like that so I'll have to see how it goes.
The vibes on Hive in most of the places here are definitely awesome. I haven't been on Fakebook for about 4 years now, and I couldn't be happier. The place is terrible! I would much rather interact with people on Hive. I think it's part of the culture and incentive of rewarding. I know that I don't reward people who are dicks and they get rooted out very quickly which is great lol.

Regarding BUIDL, I've published a lot in their community, truly believing in the project. But for a long time now, a lot of promises and nothing happens. Still had 17 million of them and used that alt to vote (usually I throw 100% only so I pick a few each time). Hoping that in the future the token will be worth something. It would be a shame if they don't pull it off as there will always be DIY content if you ask me.
I only log in on FB for my daughter's kindergarten. I've avoided it for at least 6 months the first year, but as we have a language issue, it's easier to communicate like this seeing updates and stuff, FB translates it for me. But for the rest, I said goodbye to FB.
