Which comes first, the post or the Tweet? Doesn't matter if the value is Over the Top

Ask anyone who does affiliate marketing the right way and they will tell you:

  • People buy from those they know, like, and trust.
  • You need to be front and center (top of mind).
  • Provide "Over the Top" value and people will love you.
  • It's about the audience, not the product.

I'd like to think that the reason people are signing up and staying subscribed is because they like my lists. :)

The people on my lists who engage, write me or PM me on the blockchain make this all worth it.

Step 1: Review Plan of Attack and Today's Calendar. Think.

Today my content calendar says has: Tweet and Noise about Results.

In order to have a URL when I Tweet, I don't want to appear "spammy" by continuing to use my LeadsLeap stats pages, since those all contain a referral URL.

Instead, this time I needed to write THIS post you're reading first, so that I'd have a URL I can use in my Tweets and Noise.Cash efforts.

So my plan is:

  • Document in this post my results from the efforts.
  • Tweet about it and link to this post.
  • Write on Noise.Cash and link to this post.

Easy.

Step 2: Take action from Step 1 Planning.

Alright. Action time.

The fact that my two adboards have more subscribers is wonderful. Add to that how explosive the growth has been for my AutoResponder Secrets List I wrote, and August has been a great month.

Here's the stats that I have for my three lists. I'll explain each part:

subs0.png

I have three lists that I leverage. It's quite common for internet marketers to have more than one list. In my case, it's because I have two separate ad sites, each with a built-in mailer which isn't that great.

I use those ad sites as lead magnets, and when people sign up to get a free ad, my follow up emails recommends these three lists.

MyTrafficToday.com Ads Secrets List (+2 subs)
This list is promoted to my first adboard subscribers. This list has recommendations and tips to help subscribers get better ad results. This list grew by 2. Not very good gains, but I haven't been doing much promoting of this list.

FreeAds.Club Secrets List (+6 subs)
My second adboard (FreeAds.Club) subscribers get offers to sign up for this list. Just like the first one, it's helpful content, tips, etc. FAC Secrets List grew by 6. Not too shabby. 6 more folks. Nice!

Rob Willmann's AutoResponder Secrets (+72 subs)
Use an AutoResponder? This list targets people who do their own email marketing with autoresponders. I put my best material in this list.

My latest list EXPLODED with +72 new subs

I mean, just, wow. I am thrilled that this new list is taking off like this. Even more thankful that it's part of my #ctpcontent effort. It's something I like writing about so it's a win.

The AutoResponder Secrets List is cross-promoted to both of my other two lists, so I often get people signed up on both. :)

Totally works for my sign-ups because the material is unique in both.

Step 3: Document and re-use.

Done.

The actual screenshots above are going to be repurposed into the Noise.Cash and Twitter posts.

I'll be sure to document those as comments to the post when I am done.

OK Entrepreneurs, tell me what you did today!

What do you do daily to promote yourself, your brand, and your business?

Even if you don't want to discuss that, we can at least discuss Sylvester Stalone's epic Over the Top, of which I've made several references. :D

Let's start a conversation below! Leave me a comment and I'll try my best to write back asap.

Cya tomorrow!

-Rob W.

P.S. If you'd like to sign up for the same AutoResponder Secrets list I am talking about as part of my #transparent series, I'd love it. That link is to my opt-in page, and I'd love to see you on my free list. Thanks!

Well for me...It's all about the Sly reference. Memories of my childhood LOL

As for this guy...I learned that I've been using my Blue Yeti all wrong for almost a decade. Entrepreneurship, you learn new things daily!

I hear ya on the Yeti part. :)

I remember once he turned his hat around backwards it was over, especially if he folder his fingers over yours in that grip. The funny part is that none of that would truly work in real life, but hey it's a classic, right?

Thanks for showing others how to do it... You are doing it right as you lead by example!

Provide "Over the Top" value and people will love you.

I would highlight this the most! Provide value and people will follow!

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project and it will be highlighted in the next post!

Hi Rob,

Great post. I like how you explain each of the steps you are taking... as you take them... which is both a clever and engaging way to create fresh and relevant content.

As for my efforts today, (off topic) I spent more time than usual on three of my non-biz habits, i.e., working out, academic reading/research and chess/memory-system study...

As for my online biz promotion efforts, I posted my usual brief email to three viral mailers and have got two new subscribers so far. The mailers were Lucky7Mailer, InstantViralMailer and EuropeanSafelist.

After that, I wrote and published a blog post on CTPTalk and shared it on Noise.Cash.

Apart from that, I commented on one or two CTPTalk and NoiseCash posts.

So I was thinking about this. I am really a patzer, but would enjoy playing some time. Maybe you can show me some of your favorite posts about chess openings, and we could stream\screenshare and create some fun content. I have to warn you, I am waaaay out of shape.

Your other items sounds like solid advancements in getting your name out there.

Hey Rob, that's a great idea! It would be a lot of fun to create some live chess content via zoom or something.

I could take you through part of my memory system for 1.d4 and you can have a laugh as I screw it up or go ultra-nerdy with some of the nutty memory associations! It's very much a work-in-progress but has been great fun to develop.

BTW, I'm no chess expert either. My chess handle, #pubchessbluffer sums up my approach to chess!
