I am sorry my post is coming very late. Have being struggling with malaria for some days now; Am just recovering.

The word freedom is very broad. The definition differs depending on the person. The general meaning of freedom is to have the right or ability to act, speak and think the way you want without being restricted. Freedom can also be defined as to be in a position where you are not imprisoned or enslaved.

NOW LET US TALK ABOUT WHAT FREEDOM FEELS LIKE TO ME

To me freedom is a time spent in a moment that I can be my truest self, and express myself the way I want; go wherever I want with whomever I want, dress up which ever way I want, eat any kind of food I desire, sleep and wake up whenever i feel like, wear any color of hair I want and lastly put on any kind of makeup I want.

I hate being boxed up or tied down both financially and from my parents. And being an African child comes with a lot of restrictions, numerous Dos and Don'ts.

And African parents are overprotective of their children. It makes them give us a lot of unbearable restrictions on movement, number and kind of friends we keep. Some parents like my Dad restricts their children from being friends with the opposite gender because they have the wrong ideology that a male and a female cannot do anything together apart from getting intimate. Unknowing to them that nature always have a way of playing it.

LET US MOVE OVER TO THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT

The military here is mostly not friendly with youths. The young ones face a lot of harassment day-to-day from police officers and SARS ( Special anti robbery squad) The police misconduct here is really terrible. It is almost like looking good and expensive is a crime.

If a youth steps out looking good and well dressed, with expensive gadgets they will definitely be seen as a internet fraudster. You will be stopped and harassed by police officers. It happens to most youths daily especially the Male gender. They sometimes empty their pockets and go through their phones in search for anything incriminating. Sometimes they go as far as framing them by putting hard drugs in their pockets and then act like it was right there ever since. They seize their phones and then arrest them without any proof so they can put a huge price on them for bail. This is what most male child go through daily in my country NIGERIA. And the most annoying part of it is that the government care less of all these happening it's really painful!

WHEN DOES THE INNER ME REALLY FEEL FREE?

I feel truly free from the inside when I listen to Music. That is my favorite thing to do! When I listen to Music I feel like everything about my body especially my brain is turned on. Listening to music changes my whole body chemistry; I feel more alive and happier. It helps to ease me up after a stressful day. Listening to music is my go thing if I am feeling sad and depressed, It boosts up my mood immediately. Slow music (Blues) helps me to relax better and I am more productive at this time. A lot of ideas and plans comes in. It helps me to express some hidden emotions I feel inside. Sometimes I put myself in the lyrics of the song and when it hits me too hard I shed tears. Music is what I communicate with when I have no one to share my problems with or I feel too shy and embarrassed to talk about it with someone. In conclusion music is my best friend and I am my truest self when I listen to music🎵🎶🎶
Thanks for reading to the end🤗
