HBD - Driving the mass adoption of the Hive ecosystem

HBD is a great investment opportunity and can potentially help with the mass adoption of Hive

Hive is a multi-million dollar business, and everyone who has any amount of Hive Power is a co-owner of it. This is something that I and other die-hard Hive fans say a lot, and I stand by it.

Being one of the few genuinely decentralized networks out there, Hive doesn't belong to any single person or entity, meaning that if you want to influence the community, all you need to do is get some HIVE and power it up. While that's much easier said than done, there is one thing that is common to everyone, no matter the size of their stale, which is the desire to make Hive succeed.

If HIVE goes up by 10x or 100x (one can dream), it will benefit everyone who owns any of it. From the biggest whale to the smallest plankton, everyone will see the value of their stake get multiplied several times. However, I believe that being a co-owner of a multi-million dollar business comes with some responsibilities, meaning that all Hive Power holders should be doing their best to try and make HIVE grow.

After reading this, it's natural that some people may be telling themselves something along the lines of "I have such a small stake. What can I possibly do that would make any difference?"

This is material for a very long and exciting discussion, but today I want to focus on something that everyone can do to help HIVE while earning some excellent rewards in the process: providing liquidity to HBD on PolyCub.

Stake pHBD-USDC on PolyCub

In case you missed it, the LeoFinance team announced a pHBD-USDC Liquidity Pool on PolyCub, which is currently paying around 60% APR. That is an exciting investment opportunity and a great way to boost the mass adoption of Hive.

The LeoFinance team has been having conversations with many DeFi whales recently, and they seem to be very interested in the Hive ecosystem, especially when they learn about HBD. Having those whales coming to Hive would mean lots of external money flowing into the ecosystem. I'm talking about billions of dollars that could potentially change everything for Hive and take it to a whole new level in the cryptocurrency universe.

However, there is one barrier to that, which is liquidity or the lack of it, to be precise. Right now, it's very hard to buy large quantities of HBD. I mean, sure, you can go and buy $ 500 or maybe even $ 1000, but these big investors and whales operate on a slightly different logic. They need to rest assured that they can get in and out of an opportunity immediately with minimum slippage and low liquidity makes it impossible to do so.

The PolyCub pHBD-USDC liquidity pool was made to address that very issue. The idea is to create a deep pool with about $5M in liquidity, allowing big investors to make big moves with low slippage, making HBD a very attractive asset.

Here is where you, a Hive investor and co-owner, come in.

Call to action: Stake pHBD-USDC!

One of the best things you can do right now to help Hive adoption is providing liquidity to the pHBD-USC pool. That's very easy to do, and all you will need is some HBD (which you are probably getting from your interactions with the Hive blockchain), a wallet that is compatible with Polygon (such as Metamask) and some MATIC for gas fees.

If you are entirely new to DeFi and have never been to PolyCub before, this post should help you to setup Metamask with Polygon Network!. Then, wrap your HBD to pHBD and go to PolyCub farms, where you will find the pHBD-USDC farm. You will need to enable it the first time you interact with the farm.

Once you have it enabled, you can get some pHBD-USDC on SushiSwap and stake on the LP. That's it! Now you're helping Hive and also earning around 60% APR on your HBD, almost 3 times what you get from HBD Savings.

There is currently no fee for depositing liquidity in pHBD-USDCto incentivize early liquidity providers, but that may change once there is enough liquidity in the pool, so make sure you do it as soon as possible!

Final thoughts

Providing liquidity to the pHBD-USDC is an easy way to contribute to the mass adoption of Hive, and it's also a great investment opportunity. Every Hive Power holder should consider doing their part to help the ecosystem.

If you have any questions or difficulties in the process, do let me know in the comments, and I'll do my best to try and help you out.

I wonder if the Defi whales are going to be investing in the HBD pool or are they trying to get into the Hive Saving?

I think at first they will be investing in the pool. The waiting time in savings is not ideal for big investors who are not long-term in Hive. As they get to know the ecosystem maybe they will start moving some of their assets to savings
