Contrary to popular belief, education is not the sole mode of learning. There are various individuals who believe that literacy is a step stone to education. For instance, if a person knows how to read and write, he should be considered literate. However, can he be considered well-educated if the information he gained through his actions would be reflected in his actions?

If a person uses abusive language and doesn’t care about the consequences, then he or she shouldn’t be considered an educated individual. Education can only end once a person gets old. Although many people know how to cook, not all of them are called chefs. Also, despite having a good understanding of the various components of a car, most drivers are not perfect. Having the necessary skills and knowledge to be a good driver can only be achieved by acquiring good practice.

Education can only contribute to the development of a country. It is not uncommon for people to have a good understanding of certain concepts in their lives. However, do most of them practice them in real life and daily activities?

WHAT THEN IS LITERACY

In a wider sense, literacy refers to the ability to effectively communicate through various means. Although different cultures have their own perceptions of this skill, it is widely believed that reading comprehension is a requirement for most people. If you are a student, having good literacy skills is very important to your life. Without it, you might not be able to do well in school and get a job in the future.

Being a literate erson will allow you to keep up with the latest news and be able to communicate effectively with others. Having a good literacy skills also helps children develop a better understanding of the world around them.

Developing a child’s literacy skills can be done both at home and school. One of the best ways to improve his or her reading habits is by encouraging him or her to use the library more.

WHAT IS EDUCATION?

Education is a process of imparting knowledge, skills, and beliefs to a person. While an educated individual can be called literate, every literate person is not educated. This process involves teaching the values and beliefs of one person to another.

This is similar to the concept of enculturation, which is a process of acquiring a culture and making a person behave properly.
Education is a broad concept that takes into account the various facets of a person's personality.

For instance, it aims to make a person rational and competent in order to solve scientific problems. In most primitive cultures, education is not provided in formal schools. Instead, their environment provides them with enough education to enable them to survive in harsh conditions

Education is not about degrees and certificates. It is about making people reflect on how they relate to life. Entitled as indoctrination, it aims to teach people what they should think and believe.

Education opens the mind and allows the mind to critically engage with various ideas. An educated person would be someone who is searching for truth and who values people and things around them. Although education is often regarded as the key to liberating the mind and solving global problems, it also comes in the traditional sense.

For us, education means a set of rules and procedures that guide us through various bits of knowledge or information that we need to digest and test our understanding. In a world that is constantly changing, maybe it's time to rethink our notions about education.

Although a person may already know how to read and write, he or she may not be able to acquire the necessary knowledge to effectively use it. For instance, even though most of us know how to make a cake, not everyone is recognized as a baker.

Education helps people become more competent at making different kinds of pastries.

In conclusion, Although literacy and education are different, both refer to the development of a person, which includes his or her ability to read and write. Not having a proper education can prevent a person from developing a productive and responsible lifestyle.
