STORYLINE

Seobok is a story about a clone who has obtained the secret to eternal life. Although he is not considered a threat, he must endure all kinds of pain in order to be considered a legitimate human being

Because of this, watching him venture out into the real world was truly heart-breaking. It also works as a wonderful anchor for the action elements of the story, as Seo bok eventually turns out to have super powers.

REVIEW ABOUT THE MOVIE

In Seobok’s world, scientists will discover the secret to longevity through the use of a clone. Its marrow can heal, but it also carries a threat.

This movie delves into the meaning of cloning for every character. It stars popular actors Park Bo-Gum and Gong Yoo. Considered the specimen in the lab, Seobok is a human clone with accelerated cell division.

He has only been living for ten years. The movie delves into the desperation and survival instinct of a man who has been entrusted with protecting a clone.

With over 20 films under his belt, Gong Yoo is well-known for his work in both drama and movies. Some of his recent favorites include The Age of Shadows and Train to Busan. His character is paired with Park Bo-Gum, who is Korea’s younger brother.

Aside from these, he has also appeared in other films, such as The Admiral: Roaring Currents. Also on board is Jang Young-Nam, who is the Director of the Institute. You may know her as the head nurse in It’s Okay to Not be Okay.

It’s Okay to be Okay is the first Korean film to be released on both cinema and over-the-top services simultaneously. It’s a sign of the times. Writer/director Lee Yong-Ju talks about his first film as an author, which is about an allegory of death and faith.

The story started developing after he directed the horror movie Possessed. According to Lee, Park and Gong are the best faces for his characters. For Park, his little face is matched with his ability to crush metal.

As the title character, Park exhibits a mesmeric quality, which is similar to his character in Prince Lee Yeong’s film. Gong plays the role of a straight man who is calm and collected. He also brings Park’s intensity and charisma to the film. The CGI throughout the movie is sharp and imaginative, and it lets the audience see how Seobok feels. The action is also natural and doesn’t rely on special effects.

The film seems to take place in various locations around the world. While it tackles the concept of human cloning, it also shows how far we can go without following rules. The operative agency refers to itself as the company, which makes it seem that the main driver of the film is not really clicking. It is also implied that the purpose of being seaworthy is to escape.

The main flaw of the film is that it lacks developing characters. Without this, the film feels like it could have been easy to just send off a one-of-a-kind experiment. The film feels like it could have easily paired its road trip with the knowledge that Seobok has. For Ki-Hun, it is all about his health condition, which is the reason for his lack of motivation.

The film could have used its time to build tension and connect with its audience. It’s worth considering the various aspects of a film, especially since it’s in a world where scientists are constantly looking for new ways to improve medical solutions.

Lee has created projections of the film, and if you liked Park Bo-Gum, this is a vehicle to see him perform at his best.

In conclusion, The acting is among the most impressive aspects of this movie, with both Park Bo-gum and Yoo Gong providing stellar performances. The former shows his softer side in the form of his character, Ki-hun. Park is also exceptional at exhibiting the idiosyncrasies of the protagonist, who is constantly looking like a lost puppy.

As the film goes on, Park exhibits a compellingly charismatic performance, which is only surpassed by his climax. It is a career highlight for the young actor. Technical credits must be given to Lee Mo-gae, who is widely praised for his stunning cinematography.

The film's visual quality is also consistently improved. The movie is likely to satisfy both the sci-fi and mainstream cinema fans. It is also a satisfying film for those who are looking for more substance.
