Our 2nd Year Anniversary Date | An Escape of Being A Parent for awhile.

February 29, 2020, was one of the important dates for us in our married life as it is simply because it is the day that we tied the knots and said goodbye to our single status.

But how do you celebrate such an occasion now? Since 29th isn't showing in the calendar every 4 years? Last year when we were in Biñan, we ate at a local samgyeop-sal dinner near our place. The quarantine restrictions aren't that as open as before thus we can only leave our city premises back then. Plus April is pregnant with our daughter and because of that, she is also tagged as a person being at high risk of getting the virus.

Now after we moved in here, we had planned to set our date on a Saturday afternoon. Ideally, I would be pushing for a Saturday night date as it will be more romantic but as a young couple with a 9-month-old baby going out late at night isn't a sound judgment anymore. Before leaving our home I jokingly mentioned that we can go to Alabang, Muntinlupa as this is where we usually go out on our dates when we are still dating but she said no we cannot do that anymore as it would take us half a day going back and forth in our home and our little girl will probably be needing her parents already then.

Going outside is already a challenge, drizzle of rain starts to fall and we are quite hesitant to leave our home. If and only if we have a private vehicle this will be a different story but since we are commuting public transportation as shared in my other blog post it will take us 15+ mins to get to the nearest terminal. After the rain stopped for a while, we immediately left our home and left Dyn-dyn in the care of my in-laws. When we mentioned our plan to leave our daughter to them Tatay already asked us on when we are going out and why not have it sooner as he is excited to have a longer time with his grandchild. ( A doting grandparent indeed.)

While in the tricycle, we talked about stuff that we usually talk about when I will visit San Pablo like I am going to meet her parents and will plan to marry her and other stuff. At that time, we haven't decided yet on what we will be eating or where we will go we just know that this time we are not parents and we are some teenyboppers that achieved freedom for the first time.

The rain started pouring again and it was a heavy one.

This is also why we are quite hesitant to go outside, as I requested my wife that we try to dress up somehow like when we are going to the office. It was a challenge for us as we never had to do it anymore for more than 2 years as we are tucked in our home wearing undershirts and shorts.

We managed to make it somewhat dry in a Korean dinner named Kpop Bang I can say that the ambiance is serene, I was expecting a loud noise coming from Kpop Songs and multiple folks eating but to my surprise, it was a quiet spot in the heart of the city. There we ordered the Samgyeop Meal good for 2 people, nachos and some cola.

While waiting we talked about how the previous year had passed into our relationship, what will be our plans and lastly what will be the dinner for the night. Yes, we haven't finished eating our lunch but still, we talk about dinner to be prepared later.

The nachos and the cola came in first around 5 minutes after we ordered. Quite hungry, we waited for a while as we want to eat samgyeopsal too and cooking it will take some time as well.

So we asked politely what is the status of the other order that we have. The waiter mentioned that she was not able to catch the order thus she thought that everything is complete. She apologized and we apologized too if the instructions weren't that clear. Afterward, the meat and the butane stove came in together with the complimentary iced tea and she mentioned that it is in the house as a sign of apology. We appreciated that part and we were moved on their level of service which is rare nowadays.

I started placing everything in the iron thingy ( not sure what it is called) as I am super hungry already. We also finished eating the nachos and drank the cola while we are waiting for the set-up.

The food prepared was good and heavy in the stomach. I'd thought it will not be sufficient for us because their menu isn't unlimited meat and side dishes, and compared to the previous dinners that we went to this is different.

The taste is okay for me though I made some sidenotes to April that I can also prepare such in our home and maybe even better but then again we are not there to be food critics we are there to enjoy the company of each other, date and reminisce the good times and be expectant more years together as husband and wife.

Even if you are married and have a kid already for me dating and eating outside together with your partner is essential in a relationship as you are able to rekindle such memories when you are going outside and sharing your dreams and visions with one another. Though you can still do it at home there's always magic and more romance if you and your special someone are just doing it. We also promised ourselves that if our daughter will be older she will be included in our family dates which we are doing almost daily.
