THE BEST AND WORSE PARTS OF 2022

Designed on canva

Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to be writing on the first prompt of the city of Neoxian; I've been looking forward to it, and so it's finally here.

THE BEST PART OF 2022

There was no need to think long and hard about the best thing that happened to me this year. The best thing that happened to me this year was my admission to the school. Many would think that I got admission easily, but the thing that made me happy was the fact that I am finally back at school again. I finished high school in the year 2013, and after I wrote my GCE (General Certificate Examination) in 2013, I was living in Port Harcourt. When I enrolled in the PRE-DEGREE program at UNIPORT, I was living with my aunt. I attended lectures and had hopes of starting school, so we waited until the exam results were announced. Sadly, my name didn't come out, which made me very upset. My aunt then promised to provide me with funds to wrJAMB the very next year. However, when that year came, she didn't give up because she now had her burdens. As a result, I just concluded that perhaps school wasn't for me. Up until this year, I had opportunities that I took advantage of to save money. This allowed me to consider returning to school, and so here I am.

THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN 2022

Funny enough, both good and bad things happened to me in the year 2022 at the same time. I had saved money for college and was planning to register by September, but I chose to wait a while so I could finish some things. Little did I know, unfortunately, that I was in for a whole new set of problems.

In September, I woke up in the middle of the night with stomach pains. I dismissed it as a typical woman's problem (SO I THOUGHT) and carried on as usual. However, after a week, things did not improve. I tried all kinds of medication and injections, just to live a normal life, but it didn't work, so I decided to take it even more seriously in prayer. I called our pastor at church and told him all that had happened. I also told him how I had been a regular at the hospital and I got better, but my savings account was crying. My bank account was crying in another language. I was heartbroken.

Thank God for sending an angel to me, who enabled me to register. Despite my late start, I am nevertheless glad to be in school.

According to a proverb, a delay does not constitute a denial. The fact that I haven't been able to go to school has distressed me. In a setting where you feel that your work should count, this has been a source of humiliation for me. However, because of your history, people despise you. I often hide in my closet and cry because I didn't know where to begin, yet here I am today

This reminded me of the struggles I had in graduating from secondary school, I almost gave up sef, but the good news is that everything happened according to how HE planned it.

Sometimes it may look like it's over but future is sure.

Your delay and health issues ended with a good outcomes - your admission and your recovery. So indeed the "delay is not denial" - success takes time, patient and effort. All the best wishes.
