Interesting proposition.

BTC has no theoretical cap, but in about 136 years, under the current protocol, less than one satoshi will be minted for every new block, which means zero new BTC will be minted (because one satoshi is the smallest division), unless the resolution of BTC is increased.

Under your proposal, POB would hit 3.5 million supply after 9 years. If POB's resolution mirrors BTC's, it would effectively stop minting new POB after 33 years, with the total supply at that time being 3,506,400.
