Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, the $23 trillion the U.S. gov't has spent on the "War on Poverty" since 1964 has been a failure of epic proportions.

Funny thing. We hosted a discussion session with students over lunch today. Afterwards, I was telling Dr. Davies about Hive. Turns out, he was active for a while in the early days of Steem (from August 2016): https://steemit.com/@antonydavies

Based on our discussion this afternoon, sounds like he's interested in coming back on board.

Excellent news! We can't have too many "right minded" people working steadily at "influencing," when and where they are able ...

P.S. As a retired engineer, with something of an eye for detail, I liked seeing the reference to this presentation being made at a "Free Enterprise Society" meeting, as I have personally written about what I believe are vital differences between this and the much more common references to capitalism ...

Yes, I am careful to define "capitalism" when I use the term.

With my students, I have even shied away from using the term "free markets" because it is typically not clearly defined or understood. Instead, I use the term "competitive markets". Whenever there is competition in a given market, societal benefits are sure to follow. (Also, FWIW, whenever there is a lack of competition, most times government itself has a hand in stifling whatever competition there would otherwise be).
