Here's a funny news story!

Venezuelan police are on the red alert for a genius that faked his own kidnapping and stole $1m worth of Bitcoin.

Andrés Jesús Dos Santos Hernández, a 23 year old staged his kidnapping and then stole money from his client's Binance accounts.

According to the police, Hernández, who pretended to be a financial advisor, also pretended like he was kidnapped and then also pretended as if his captors forced him to enter the Binance account of people for whom he managed their account, took out the crypto and sent it to random accounts.

For everyone saying Bitcoin is useless, well, here we have one more use-case.

Seriously though, this is fucking hilarious and the fact that he'll most likely get away with it makes it funnier. Lmao.

that's actually not a bad idea, I might kidnap myself, although I don't think anyone would bother paying the bitcoin ransom :)))

I would find disrespectful to pay a ransom for our meme master with a non-meme token :)

This is the highest level of trust and dumbass: to trust somebody with your Binance keys, where you have million $ in bitcoin.

Yea that is funny. I am guessing the withdrawal is instant otherwise the government can just pressure Binance since it is centralized.
