Late Summer Gardening- Cucumber and Eggplant

Hello everybody, late Summer is actually a great time to grow there's a lot of Sun and the Sun is at a great angle.

I am preparing to grow some winter carrots and squash, but I'm finishing up with some cucumbers and eggplant in the garden these are so easy to grow it's amazing and they have a lot of calories.

I've been growing eggplant which needs a lot of sun to grow and cucumber which needs a lot of water and Sun as well you can see I've put the cucumber up on a trellis and the eggplant grows in a row.

Both eggplant and cucumber require minimal soil preparation they do require manure eggplant itself is a really hearty meal and the main issue is pollination of the flowers you can see the flowers I've taken pictures of them they are fertilized and they're ready to go you might have to hand pollinate this late in the summer as bees are not as plentiful as they used to be.
