I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Today did not go exactly as planned. Ano had asked me yesterday if I could switch my schedule for today, to work earlier with him, then do my Hive thing later. I happened to wake up at 5:30AM, so I figured I mind as well start on my Hive catch-up and tasks, since I was supposed to be helping Ano a little later in the morning. I worked on Hive for about two hours, then got hit by a wave a tiredness and sleepiness, so I put my phone down and went back to sleep for a while. I ended up sleeping until 9:30AM, a bit later than I expected.

Once I was up and out of bed, I made my superfood fire coffee, as I figured I could drink a little before I started working with Ano. Ano informed me just a little later that his plans got canceled, so I could just do my regular morning schedule, so that's what I ended up doing.

Along with my usual Hive catch-up and tasks, I also worked on compiling useful information on diesel/liquidity pools, to help me make better and more informed decisions on how to allocate resources. I got to say it again, some of these pools are bloody amazing, while others leave much to be desired. I'll likey be removing my assets from more pools, and adding them to other, far better ones.

It was raining, chilly, and cloudy most of the day, so I was in no rush to go work on the land. I did finally leave my cozy warm blanket about 3PM to go get a few things done. I intended to dig a new drainage hole for the Landing sink pipe, so I got the needed tools, and began working on that. In the process, I inadvertently broke through into an old lava tube, which surprised the heck out of me!

Here's the lava tube I found today, right next to the Landing.

The top node on this bamboo culm is as tall as I am, so this hole is pretty deep!

I told Ano about it, and he came to see it a short time later. Given that lava is very porous, having an opening to a lava tube here is actually rather convenient, as it means that we can just put the pipe from the sink right into it, and we'll never have to worry about a clogged pipe again!

Ano went to look for the plumbing bucket, to do what we needed to do with the piping. He came back short time later, saying that we needed to refocus on an emergency situation over at the Bedouin. Apparently there was an ocean of water that had collected in the tarp in the corner, over one of the beds. When I went to take a look, I was flabbergasted to see the extent of it! It was a lot of water bulging the tarp down onto a bed. The water-heavy tarp had also damaged some structural wood and bamboo around it. We collected the tools and ladders that we needed, and began bailing out the water.

Ano and I worked at it for about two hours, and we managed to get things functional again for the moment, though more in-depth repairs would be needed soon. We had gotten it to a reasonably good place by about 6PM, when I left to go take a shower, and then make myself some food in the Landing. Once I had my food done, and a jar of my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao, I returned to the Flow House to dive back into Hive tasks. I did more token management, and allocated more assets to various liquidity pools, then I wrote and published my Index4Index Inspired Motivation: Some People Will Like You, Some Won't, and It's All Good! post, and then began in ernest on this one.

So yeah, today didn't go as planned at all, but it all worked out. We'll finish the sink drainage hole tomorrow, though there is already quite a lot to do tomorrow as it is! I'm also scheduled to give Harmony as session tomorrow starting in the late morning. Because of that, I have to make sure I get all my important Hive tasks done beforehand. Yep, it's going to be busy tomorrow!

OK my dear Hive family, on that note I think I'll end this post for the night. I want to do one more quick round of Hive catch-up before I head or bed. I deeply appreciate you all very much! Until tomorrow! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Sounds like another busy day. The lava tube discovery is pretty cool - I've never seen anything like that before, and I'm glad it helped with your pipe laying - pretty handy !

Indeed! With living in the jungle, there are always projects that need attention! Yeah, it was certainly a surprise finding it! They can be quite large, sometimes like long caves into which you can walk! This is a small one! Yes, it turned out to be super convenient! Thanks much brother! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

A gloomy day you had indeed. Glad you were able to get things done and clear out the water on the tarp before the night came. All the best as you do the other repairs needed :)
