Crypto muggers are on the street.

There is always a disadvantage to everything that has an advantage. Cryptocurrency is the freedom that allows us to be in control. I am not used to leaving my money in the bank again. I think it is a waste of time and it will only devalue there. Sometimes, I convert Cryptos to Naira 5 times a day because it is pretty easy with the P2P system. I enjoy accepting payment in cryptos. Some of my clients that do Crypto now pay me with stable coins and I am loving it. The adoption of crypto is wide now. People are using it more, including the bad guys.

I heard that when the Nigeria Government banned crypto, some police started doing illegal searches on people and when they find cryptos in your wallet, they will move everything out. I was scared and had to delete some of my wallets I know I didn’t want to lose.

One of my cryptos leaders in Nigeria invited to a meeting 3 days ago. She called me to give me a couple of tech jobs. Web development and social media marketing Job. Then she narrated her experiences that led to losing $42,000 this January. I was shocked. This sound too much for one person to lose in a country like this. She said some guys came to her house and stole her phone and her Nano wallet. The guys could not access the Nano but they login her Trust wallet and moved the entire coins there. She said she could not see the faces of the guys, but she is tracking the device and she will never stop until they are found.

No one would like to lose a penny of their money to such, so I understand such feelings, but the consistency of the trackers’ matters. I have seen situations like this that end up failing. I simply advised her to use the Nano more for bigger funds and using multiple phones could also be helpful. Since it is important to access crypto on the move, having 2 or 3 phones and keeping some behind could be helpful as well. I have lots of people practising that and it is helping them, especially in a country where even the police are potential thieves and they can illegally clear off your wallet and nothing will happen since the Nigerian federal Government does not support cryptocurrency in the country.

Stay safe! The wide adoption will also bring wide thieves. Be careful with my funds.
