The thought of my sister being inducted into the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in her university in Benin, Edo State made my family elated and proud of her. She has overcome the challenges that she encountered on the way and has fulfilled her dream of becoming a histopathologist. She has brought honour to herself and our family. We were excited to share the joy of this special occasion with her.

We had arrived in Benin two days earlier for the induction ceremony and secured accommodation at a lodge close to the venue of the event. We also paid my sister a visit in her hostel daily to check on her well-being. This was vital and important to us. We were happy to know that she was doing well and delighted about her upcoming induction. Her positive attitude lifted our morale. We engaged her in a discussion about her expectations for the event. We were impressed about her optimism for a successful conduct of the induction ceremony. Our anticipation for the ceremony was also great.

The scheduled day for the induction ceremony eventually arrived and we were ready to relish every moment! We woke up early and held prayers. We committed the ceremony to God and requested that He makes it a successful and memorable event. My sister was also present for the prayers as my mum had told her about it the previous day. She went back to her hostel after the end of the prayers to prepare for the ceremony. We also went about our morning routine after the end of the prayers so that we could be ready for the event. Breakfast was served after we were done with our routines. We ordered a taxi from a ride - hailing app on my phone and patiently waited for it. The taxi did not arrive at our lodge as early as we expected and as a result delayed us. The driver of taxi on his arrival to our lodge apologized for the delay. He told us that the deplorable condition of the roads leading to our lodge was responsible for the delay. He had to negotiate his way by passing several alternative roads to the lodge. We accepted his apology and got into the taxi, driving off to the venue.

The Indoor Hall of the University's Sports Complex was the venue of the event. We alighted from the taxi when we got there and were surprised to see some of the guests we invited at the venue. We exchanged pleasantries and went into the hall together. The event commenced after we took our seats. The programme of the ceremony began with the procession of the excited inductees into the hall. All protocols were observed as the ceremony progressed. The Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science gave an address and implored the inductees to use their skills to add value to humanity and to be good representatives of their profession.

The highlight of the event was the administration of oath by the Registry of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.. He gave a short speech earlier and disclosed that he is an alumni of the University and is honoured to be back to his alma mater for this induction ceremony. He enjoined the inductees to be hardworking and active members of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria in order to provide excellent service to humanity. He thereafter conducted the administered the oath of induction to the inductees. The guests which comprised of the families, friends and acquaintancesvof the inductees went into a frenzy as they cheered them while they took their oath. The atmosphere was electrifying! The cheers from the guests became louder after the oath was taken by the inductees. They have been formally inducted into the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria and acknowledged as Medical Laboratory Scientist. It was a pleasant sight to behold.

My sister and her fellow inductees were excited. They have finally achieved goals of becoming a medical laboratory scientist. The valedictorian of their department was given the opportunity to speak on the behalf of others. Her speech was brief but inspiring. She offered thanks to God, their parents, their department, the university and everyone that supported them on this remarkable journey. She received a loud ovation as she left the podium.

Ultimately, the event came to an end after other activities on the programme were done. Members of my family and our guests congratulated my sister on her induction. We were happy and proud of her achievement. We left the hall and had a photo session beside it. Thereafter, we proceeded to our tent where we celebrated the occasion and entertained guests. We had a blast! Congratulations sis!

Thanks for reading,
Have a splendid day folks.

What other joy is greater than starting a school and going through all the stress then later graduated from the school. I am really happy for her. I pray for more greater achievement
