My Introduction To Hive

Well, it seems I have done things in the wrong order. I wrote my first post and then was told that I should introduce myself to the community so they know who I am, which you know kind of makes sense. So let's get started.

I discovered computers at a fairly young age, when I was about 10 years old my step-father came home with a TRS-80 computer with a whopping 16k memory and programs loaded on Cartridges or Cassette tapes. I was hooked, however at this time my step-father did probably one of the best things he could have done for me. He made me a deal if I was playing games my time on the computer was limited. If I was learning to program it I had all the computer time I could handle. I quickly began learning to program the computer and by next Christmas, he broke down and bought me my own computer so he could have some time on his computer. High school was Apple IIE, Apple IIC and some of the first IBM PCs.

After graduating high school I wandered for a bit, discovered magic the gathering and kicked myself for joking around about buying wizards of the coast stock when it was 10 cents but not actually buying it. After working a few different jobs, I wrapped back to my calling and started to teach myself web programming and began working on the internet, where I met my now wife when she messaged me thinking I was someone else. A short time later I went to work for an internet company as a programmer and married my wife.

Fast forward many years, I am now the system admin and keep all the servers up, running and communicating as well as all the complex database queries. I work remotely and enjoy spending time with my three wonderful dogs, while my wife rides and cares for the two horses I’ve bought her.
I discovered Crypto a few years back now and was determined not to make the same mistake I made when I didn’t buy Wizards of the Coast stock at ten cents. I started making small successful trades and learning the minimal basics of trading making small profits. A few years later and mostly through luck I have managed to turn $800 into tens of thousands of dollars and have recently discovered NFT gaming or play to earn and the hive community.

I am still learning and exploring the hive ecosystem and plan to do a lot of writing about my experiences. I do a lot of gaming so most of my writing will be about splinterlands and other games with a little financial, pets posts and other random things thrown in here and there.

Interesting I didn't even know wizards of the coast had a stock back then. I own some hasbro or used to and they own wizards of the coast now. It is a decent dividend stock. Also I tried boosting with ecency lets see if it works. Thanks for your help on discord

Oh crap im thinking now if I did a boost in 24 hrs or not i completely forgot that rule if it comes back I'll just send you the ecency points.

I believe the way the boost works is it works as a screening once boosted the team has to choose to curate it at that point with an upvote I believe or return points. Sure thanks.
