Upvote Shares Level 30 Available...

@upvoteshares is a curation project from @costanza that aims to provide reliable upvotes based on a fair model that has proven to be sustainable and scalable over time. This Project is mainly aimed towards Quality Bloggers with a long term mindset. The model mechanics are better explained here.

I've been busy with a lot of things lately and moving this project forward is one of the things I have been procrastinating since it pretty much is able to run on its own. I put in the needed funds for Level 28 & 29 completing those while burning the shared a couple of months ago (see Curation Reward Payouts) and I'm opening up Level 30 right now.

50 more shares become available for Level 30 getting us closer to having a total of 40 levels and 2000 Shares in circulation before letting everything run fully on auto-pilot after which the only way to become part of this project is to buy shares from existing shareholders.

I did add oneup from the Play2Earn Tribe 1up.zone to the list of tokens supported by the project starting with 500 1UP and I might add more depending on how much the upvotes are being used and I will set them at a x5 multiplier.

1 @minnowshares Sponsorship GiveawayCan be Sponsored to someone by choice to accounts that are minnows.

At any given time, the amount of HP in the account will at least be 10% higher compared to the current share price based on the number of shares. [ Example Level 30 Price = 5.000 HIVE| Minimum Powered Up HP in Account = (5.000 HIVE x 1550 SHARES)x1.1 = 8525 HP ]

Each share represents an equal minimum daily voting % from the account that can be calculated. For Level 30 this is 1000% / 1550 Shares = 0.65% Upvote.

This is the Minimum Guaranteed number in case every single share is active and all daily upvotes are used without counting any of the value-creating mechanisms the project offers. The minimum value goes up each time a new level is reached because shares will always become more expensive as the account grows and extra HP is being added to each new level. Those who got in on previous levels paid less for each share and have increased their minimum return a bit (see numbers). To compensate for the 50/50 curation rewards the program also pays out Curation Dividend Rewards each time a new level is reached. The latest payout report can be found here

The project has been going for over years and all the value-creating mechanisms are starting to show results as the 0.65% minimum promised daily upvote was set at 2.8% in the previous level which is where it will remain as the Voting Power managed to hold up. All existing shareholders always got their shares at a cheaper price compared to what these percentages are based on, Curation Reward Dividends are being paid out and the Tribe Upvotes are also being distributed. This is all done in a way that nobody is losing their initial investment because of a solid model that simply works providing excellent value for what needs to be contributed!

  1. Every Upvote Share comes with 1 Minnow Share that can be sponsored. The ones that get sponsored get on the auto-upvote list from the @minnowshares account until the next level is reached. Everyone who manages to get sponsored 9 Minnow Shares over time can claim 1 Upvote Share.

  2. The account of every Shareholder will be followed by the @upvoteshares account, this increases the followers_mvest which potentially helps to get extra support from other programs.

Send the required HIVE for the number of shares you want (Shares x 5.300 HIVE) to the @upvoteshares account with the memo

I'll keep level 30 open until the point is reached where all shares are sold or when the account has enough HP in it to complete the level burning all unsold shares.

Hah!

A marathon runner only in the effect that I have been on Hive forever and always will be. In real life, I only run when chased or for 10 minutes at a time during Jiu Jitsu warmup. ;) I will leave the real running to the specialists.

Anyways, I owe you an @actifit response. I was using it a lot. I had a streak of almost two years of Actifit reports. I still have around 600 K $AFIT, I believe. Then I stopped using it for two reasons:

  • the system didn't evolve in any way, especially not in sinks - I can't move my $AFIT away from it and use it in real life,
  • I was fed up with carrying the phone around all the time

I don't want to overcomplicate things and the project only offers 1 upovote a week or 1 upvote each day. 5 shares will give a near 100% (98%) upvote each week. Hello! I'm very interested in joining the project, but I want to ask something first.

In HSBI, for example, the "voting power" keeps acumulating day after day, without any limit. If I don't post for a whole year then start posting, I'll receive the accumulated voting power from this whole year.

How this works in UpvoteShares? I saw that the shareholders can receive "'1 upvote a week or 1 upvote each day"; but what if I stay a whole week without posting? Do I "lose" that weeks voting strenght, or is it accumulated to the next week?

The way it works here is that the voting power doesn't accumulate but instead it gets reditributed to all other shareholders that are active. It's one the reason that the upvotes are so much higher compared to Voting power / amount of shares. Not everyone posts each day and since the project has been running for years there are many shareholders who kind of dropped Hive while leaving their shares in place (they can be sold at any given time). The point of this project has always been to reward those that are in it for the long run and are able to put in the consistency the most which is exactly what the project has been doing.

I would say, all the numbers are out there and you can make the calculations to see if it is worth it for you.

Also one of the main differences with HSBI is that you instantly lose your initial investment and it takes a long time to earn that back before you really start earning something. I made an post way back comparing Upvoteshares with other upvote groups and the fundamental flaws they have. (https://hive.blog/money/@costanza/upvoteshares-model-mechanics)

That should give you a good view on how everything works.

This is only partially true of Hive SBI; subscriptions are subject to a refund policy that kicks in whenever there are material changes to the program. Since the fork from Steem into Hive SBI was considered a material change, anyone that enrolled prior to that fork can capture most (if not all) of their enrolled value.

We are working on a v2 updated release that will also be considered a material change once it goes into effect.

No 40 hive requirement per share for sponsorships, they are there to make things friendly and give a little push to mostly smaller bloggers on the platform who want to get something going while it also works great to spread the word about the project around. The general idea is to give them to bloggers that aren't already dolphins or whales but I'm not too tight on that these days :-)
