ok I miss a lot on social content layers around Hive but what again is this VYB all about? So my PoB are now totally useless? A short light would be much appreciated.

Found this recently but still no idea what this is all about:

Big things seem to be happening behind the scenes and @trostparadox and his newly formed vyb team @scholaris.pob @calumam and @nonsowrites have really out done themselves with this amazing initiate. I wish you guys the best of luck and look forward to converging with you at some point as things move forward.

Hello. I don't think that POB is useless. VYB is its own tribe, but also supports POB. Unlike, POB, VYB is a tribe that renders the DV powerless. Instead, it seeks to continue supporting all content and manage abuse with the mute function by consensus (either by article or user with justification).

@trostparadox, @calumam, did I get that right?

I certainly hope not. At present, the primary way to get VYB is with POB. If anything, this should increase the value of POB.

Also, as I commented here:

... if folks exiting POB end up selling it for HIVE instead of exchanging it for VYB, then you might see the price of POB drop. However, there are currently 20,000 VYB that can be obtained via 1 POB for 2 VYB and 300,000 VYB that can be obtained via 1 POB for 1 VYB.

This means that an arbitrage opportunity exists for folks to buy POB and exchange for VYB. This should create a floor for POB that would be no lower than the market price for VYB (which is currently 0.298 HIVE -- albeit with almost zero liquidity, so that price doesn't mean much).

As such, it seems highly doubtful the price of POB will be negatively impacted by the launch of VYB, and plenty of reason to believe the price of POB will rise if VYB grows in popularity.

This, coupled with the fact that the launch of VYB is meant to complement POB (VYB can be thought of as a sort of 'retirement' token that can be earned alongside POB, but is intentionally less liquid).

Sounds interesting, so swapping PoB for VYB currently, so I need liquid PoB for that - what is the current ratio?

As of this moment, 12,530 VYB are available at the 1 POB for 2 VYB ratio.

After those 12,530 VYB are claimed, the ratio will be 1:1 for the next 300,000 VYB.

They create vyb tribes that comply with pob. Now the vyb token is live for claim.
