Introducing Solcial: A permissionless Web3 social network

As Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency continues to cause deep disruptions in the technological, social and financial sphere of life, the new era of decentralized social networks are gradually evolving to phase out web2 social networks with their milking structure which censors users while enriching themselves at the expense of the priceless contents created by users.

• Q3-2022: Open access to anyone; Add moderation layer; Add mining program (S2E)
• Q4-2022: Release additional privacy and decentralised opt-in features to post/store content on blockchains (Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin etc)
• Q1-2023: Deploy a high performance P2P network at scale to fully decentralize Solcial

Presently, the team is ramping up marketing ahead of the release of their public Beta.

Solcial is built on the Solana blockchain and already has some solid supports from projects like Solana Capital, Alameda Research, Rarestone, Kucoin, Newave Capital and more.

From these supporting organizations, Solcial would be a crypto based social media that would interact with other web3 platforms easily.

If everything finally plays put as planned for Solcial, it would be another added strong social front alongside Hive to gather more focus to web3 platforms and hence, motivating more adoption. I gave always believe in the collaboration of web3 platforms rather than competition.

@LeoFinance is helping to build bridges across blockchains and the community pages feature would serve a whole lot in integrating web3 platforms together. In a response to an AMA tweet for Solcial, I did call for their creation of a community page on leofinance.io. I how that comes through and it would be a big booster for LeoFinance and Hive.

The success of Solcial would be a win-win for everyone that belies in Web3. However, the success of Solcial would also motivate futher development in existing Web3 Social networks like Hive.
