Hello friends of Hive! Today I want to share with you my review about "Spencer" the biographical film of Princess Diana, directed by Chilean director Pablo Larraín and starring actress Kristen Stewart.

What is the film about?
The film tells part of the story of Diana Princess of Wales, specifically a weekend during Christmas Eve when Diana finds herself going through a marital crisis with Prince Charles and a crippling situation of oppression by the royals that makes much focus in her eating disorder and loneliness.

My opinion about the film:
Pablo Larrín returns to tell us another relevant story of a female character, just as he did in his film "Jackie". This time it shows us part of the life of Princess Diana of Wales, one of the most popular and beloved people of all time, which contains details that are overwhelming enough to highlight the oppression that this woman experienced during her time in the English royalty.
I already knew part of Diana's story. I have read some books and seen documentaries that tell what this woman lived before, during and after being part of the English monarchy. What I feel that made this movie different from what I had seen before, is the situation in which it takes place, since it only recounts Diana's life during a Christmas weekend, which was enough to understand how unhappy she was. Diana lived in a jail disguised as Castle where her life revolved around what other people decided was right for her. From the way she dressed, what she should eat, how much she should weigh, and who she should associate with. She was a lonely woman whose rebellion made her break the rules that the queen imposed for her life, with a background full of sadness but also with the desire to be free and serve others.
The musical atmosphere of the film was really claustrophobic as well as the flat details of the flat and at the same time overwhelming expressions of the actress, which made you feel an emptiness in your chest and a great empathy for the suffering of this woman. There was also a feeling of rejection by the rest of the characters, with the exception of Diana's children, with whom there were many emotional moments, which were the ones that genuinely showed the happiness and love that she felt towards her little ones.
The costumes for the film were incredible, as was the photography. If I can criticize something, it is that the film is too long and sometimes there is a void in the story as well as the expectation that something really important will happen and in general it is a very flat story that undoubtedly left me wanting to explore life more of this woman.

Kristen Stewart as Diana:
The first time I saw Kristen Stewart acting was in the Twilight saga where the actress was notoriously pigeonholed with the role she played in this film, and it is difficult to dissociate herself from a character that greatly influenced the audience. Seeing her play Diana of Wales was something completely new and different, Kristen did an excellent job in terms of her body expressions and her accent. Her excellent wardrobe and makeup work helped the actress a lot to characterize the character without falling into parody. The great effort and study of the actress was noted because she gave us a neat performance and very similar to the Diana that we have seen in photographs and old interviews.

Final thoughts and rating:
To be honest, I feel that this is a movie that I will see at most 2 times, because although it is not a bad movie, it is not one of those that earn a place among the best I have seen. However, I completely agree with Kristen Stewart's nomination for this year's Academy Awards. My final score for "Spencer" is a 5/10

The people doing V2K want me to believe it is this lady @battleaxe Investigate what she has been up to for 5 years. Its the next step to stopping this. Make her prove where she has been for 5 years or where she is now. She is involved deeply with @fyrstikken and his group. I cant say she is the one directly doing the v2k. Make her prove it. They have tried to kill me and are still trying to kill me. I bet nobody does anything at all. Make @battleaxe prove it. I bet she wont. They want me to believe the v2k in me is being broadcasted from her location. @battleaxe what is your location? https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism
