Some time ago I took this photo, it was in the year 2019 where I had the opportunity to work with a photographer named André Lion. He came from Norway, because he lived there, but he is originally from São Paulo, Brazil and came here Boa Vista, Roraima to carry out a photojornalism work on the situation of the thousands of Migrants who left Venezuela fleeing from hunger and misery to move here in Brazil.

Hace un tiempo que tomé esta foto, fue en el año 2019 donde tuve la oportunidad de trabajar con un fotógrafo llamado André Lion. Él venía desde Noruega, porque vivía allá, mas él es originario de São Paulo, Brasil y vino hasta aquí Boa Vista, Roraima para realizar un trabajo de fotojornalismo sobre la situación de los miles de Migrantes que salieron de Venezuela huyendo del hambre y la miseria a pasar a vivir aquí en Brasil.

I was only able to take this photo because my job was really to be a translator from Portuguese to Spanish, but for me this single photo means a lot because at that very moment that we arrived, other Venezuelans also arrived who were in a better condition to help with that moment.

Sólo pude tomar esta foto porque realmente mi trabajo era ser un traductor de portugués a español, pero para mi esta única foto significa mucho ya que en ese justo momento que llegamos, llegaron también otros venezolanos que estaban en una mejor condición a para ayudar en ese momento.

The place was nothing more than a shelter in the middle of the street with makeshift shops waiting only for a miracle. When these boys who do not appear in the image arrived, they announced that they were bringing some food and a person was in charge of ordering the children so that they ate first and then if there was anything left over, give it to the parents so that they could to eat.

El lugar no era más que un refugio en el medio de la calle con tiendas improvisadas esperando sólo un milagro. Al momento que llegaron estos muchachos que no salen en la imagen ellos avisaron que estaban llevando algo de comida y una persona se hizo cargo de ordenar a los niños para que ellos comieran primero y luego si algo había sobrado, darles a los padres para que pudieran comer.

That girl in the photo was one of the lucky ones who managed to eat and we could also see the happiness of the father knowing that at least today his girl had the first meal, but unfortunately other children could not eat and it is a reflection.
In that photo there was a clear reality of what many people face today, not only those who left Venezuela but around the world.

Esa niña de la foto, fue una de las afornutadas que alcanzó comer y pudimos también ver la felicidad del padre al saber que por lo menos hoy su niña tuvo la primera comida, pero lamentablemente otros niños no pudieron comer y es un reflejo.
En esa foto quedó una clara realidad de lo que muchas personas enfrentan, hoy en día, no sólo los que salieron de Venezuela si no alrededor del mundo

The question is, when is this going to end?
