II CORINTHIANS 12:7
And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

PSALMS 44:8
In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name forever. Selah.

As Christians, we do not glorify ourselves in heaven, but rather we honor God. Even when we achieve things in life, we should not be proud of ourselves because it is only God who assists us in accomplishing our goals. As a result, if we are giving glory, it should be to God.

JEREMIAH 9:23
Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches

II CORINTHIANS 12:5
Of such a one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

II CORINTHIANS 12:6
For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

As believers, we should neither exalt ourselves or be proud of ourselves. Because pride is of the devil, and pride is only brought by the devil. God does not give us pride. Because pride is of the devil, it is said in the Bible that pride precedes ruin.
As a result, as a Christian, you should only be proud of God's things. And how can you be proud of God's things? By referencing God and adhering to his teachings, he is able to achieve his goals. Keeping his promise and carrying out his wishes.
