¿El mayor robo de la historia? Sean O'Malley vs Petr Yan [ESP-ENG]
Una pelea muy esperada, muchos deseaban ver a Sean O'Malley contra Petr Yan, querían verlo derrotado, aplastado y que no tuviera opciones contra el ruso. El plan sería confirmar que Sugar, no estaba listo para las grandes citas y que no pertenecía a la elite del deporte. Lamentablemente, se equivocaron, O'Malley se plantó desde el primer momento y se fajó fuertemente contra Petr Yan. Luego, para provocar más dolor, hacia todos los haters de O'Malley, termina llevándose la victoria, ocasionando gran polémica tras el resultado final. ¿Hubo robo? Se ha hablado mucho de esto, durante los días que han pasado y personalmente no tengo el mismo veredicto.
Pude ver una pelea cerrada, donde claramente tenemos un round de mucha apreciación, uno donde se define absolutamente la pelea y se trata del primer asalto. No hay nada que buscar para el segundo round, Petr Yan domina completamente estos 5 minutos y se los lleva fácilmente. Luego el round 3, asalto que define el combate, no hay discusión, Sean O'Malley se lo lleva y nos queda solamente analizar el comienzo de la pelea. Recuerdo el momento exacto, cuando termina ese primer round, pensé que gano O'Malley o pudo ser para Petr Yan, realmente muy cerrado y sigo pensando que gano Sugar.
A long awaited fight, many wanted to see Sean O'Malley against Petr Yan, they wanted to see him defeated, crushed and that he had no options against the Russian. The plan would be to confirm that Sugar, was not ready for the big time and did not belong to the elite of the sport. Unfortunately, they were wrong, O'Malley stood up from the first moment and fought hard against Petr Yan. Then, to cause more pain, towards all the haters of O'Malley, he ends up taking the victory, causing great controversy after the final result. Was there a robbery? There has been a lot of talk about this, during the days that have passed and personally I don't have the same verdict.
I was able to see a close fight, where clearly we have a round of much appreciation, one where the fight is absolutely defined and it is the first round. There is nothing to look for the second round, Petr Yan completely dominates these 5 minutes and takes it easily. Then round 3, the round that defines the fight, there is no discussion, Sean O'Malley takes it and we are left only to analyze the beginning of the fight. I remember the exact moment, when that first round ends, I thought that O'Malley won or it could have been for Petr Yan, really very close and I still think that Sugar won.

Mis argumentos se encuentran justamente en el video, aquí comento porque veo ganando a Sean O'Malley, aunque perfectamente pudo ser para el ruso. Las tarjetas serian 29-28, no veo una amplia ventaja y cualquiera de los dos podría ganar. Obviamente, al UFC le conviene tener a Sugar en esta posición, una donde va a tener la potestad de competir contra la elite o incluso ir directamente hacia el título de la división. ¿Quién es el que más vende en esta categoría? Habría que buscar los números, pero estoy completamente seguro, que Sean O'Malley debe ser uno de los que más atrae público.
El gran favorito era Petr Yan, se esperaba que finalizara al flaco o por lo menos una paliza y jamás sucedió eso. Me pone un poco triste, ver 2 derrotas seguidas del ruso, recalco nuevamente que Yan es mi peleador favorito y para mí es el mejor de esta división. Pero la realidad, siempre será la realidad, se vio superado a nivel de striking y los mejores golpes los conecto Sean O'Malley. ¿Peleará contra Sterling? Aún no sabemos, espero que no, pienso que sería una derrota garantizada para Sugar y ojalá le coloquen otro peleador antes de ir hacia el título. ¿Qué pasa con Petr Yan? Lo dije en un video, no podía perder, ahora mismo su futuro es incierto y está en un lugar incómodo. Para concluir, mencionar que no veo robo y mucho menos una sorpresa que haya ganado O'Malley.
My arguments are just in the video, here I comment why I see Sean O'Malley winning, although it could perfectly be for the Russian. The big favorite was Petr Yan, he was expected to finish the skinny guy or at least a beating and that never happened. It makes me a little sad, to see 2 defeats in a row for the Russian, I stress again that Yan is my favorite fighter and for me he is the best in this division. But the reality will always be the reality, he was outclassed in terms of striking and the best punches were landed by Sean O'Malley. Will he fight Sterling? We don't know yet, I hope not, I think it would be a guaranteed loss for Sugar and hopefully they will put him in another fighter before he goes for the title. What about Petr Yan? I said it in a video, he couldn't lose, right now his future is uncertain and he's in an uncomfortable place. To conclude, to mention that I don't see theft and much less a surprise that O'Malley won.

Los combates cerrados siempre traerán polémica, por ello los peleadores deben hacer las cosas bien en los momentos clave, cómo los inicios y culminación de cada round.

En combates cerrados, la decisión siempre será complicada y causara alguna controversia o por lo menos tema de discusión. Para que eso no pase, hay que ganar con claridad.

Holaaa...para mi sean va a tener que pelear contra el chico nuevamente...no fue el mayor robo de la historia y el error fue de yan....quizo ganar de la manera fácil y le salió caro.
Para mi lo subestimo, pensó que iba ser una pelea fácil y fue todo lo contrario. Ojala lo coloquen contra Chito, me gustaría ver ese combate, aunque no quiero que pierda Vera y tampoco otra derrota para Yan. Esta división esta muy dura.
