Esta seria la historia de Gail junto a Luke, dos personas que se apoyan y se quieren, pero Luke es padre del niño Josh que será importante en grandes acontecimientos y Gail recibirá sorpresas nada agradables.

Luke tenia una esposa llamada Becky, madre del niño Josh, pero esta mujer fue asesinada en su casa de una manera muy sangrienta, aunque esta historia no la conoce Josh, pero recuerda mucho a su madre y todas las noches tiende a soñar con ella. Los sueños comenzaron cuando volvieron a su antiguo hogar, estando ahora Luke junto a Gail y no saben que dentro del sueño va recibiendo mucha información. Menciona que su madre le habla todas las noches, pero se aterroriza porque tiene finales muy malos y desea frenar esas pesadillas.

Un día para despejar la mente, salieron a caminar Gail con Josh, pues Luke se había ido a trabajar y estaba muy lejos. Aquí se encuentran a una vecina, se trataba de Ruth una mujer muy mayor que le cuenta la historia de su nieto, un pequeño niño que también sufrió pesadillas y termino haciendo actos que nadie se hubiera imaginado, pues acabo con su propia familia y luego termino quitándose la vida el mismo. Al parecer existe gran similitud entre Josh y aquel niño que menciona la vecina, pero Gail no cree en cuentos extraños y solo piensa en que necesita ayuda profesional para mejorar.

Poco a poco los sueños se van haciendo mas fuertes, tanto que incluso la propia Gail comienza a tener pesadillas, seguido de situaciones muy complejas que suceden dentro de la casa y el miedo por dentro de Gail comienza a crecer mucho. Para Josh las pesadillas están muy avanzadas, parece que controlan su cuerpo, solo hay una manera de acabar con todo eso y la vecina Ruth es quien tiene la manera de solucionar. El niño Josh empieza a tener una actitud distinta, se vuelve agresivo, se comporta extraño y parece que la historia se vuelve a repetir.

¿Mucho terror? - Too much terror?

Esta película esta clasificada como de terror, pero realmente muy poco de terror pude apreciar, no tuve en ningún momento una escena que me causara miedo y tampoco sentí que ellos quisieran ofrecerle eso al espectador. No vas a encontrar algún metraje donde sucede algo inesperado y la cámara enfoca rápidamente, pues eso aquí jamás sucede y basado en mi opinión el terror es lo de menos en esta producción. Cuando el niño Josh sueña aparece una especie de mujer terrorífica, pero no hay sorpresa y tampoco creo que intimide.

Si existe un poco de suspenso en la película, ya que en todo momento se basa en que padece Josh, porque esta teniendo visiones, porque se ha ido caminando sonámbulo y diciendo palabras sobre el asesinato de su madre cuando el no sabe lo que paso. Algunas escenas de los sueños que tiene Gail son de tensión, pues resultan ser pesadillas que parecen reales, pero muy alejado del terror y en ese aspecto me parece que decepciona un poco esta película mas allá del argumento tan poco trabajado.

Pudieron hacer mucho con la figura que veía Josh en sus sueños, siempre se reflejaba una mujer al frente de su cama, aunque nunca con gran horror y fue hasta último momento donde si se pudo ver una especie de espíritu maligno queriendo entrar a su cuerpo. En cuanto a lo paranormal resulto muy básico, no hubo mucha creatividad y luego no me podía creer que un niño causara miedo a un adulto, mas cuando este solo tenia un hacha pequeña y sabemos que un adulto tiene mucha mas fuerza y fácilmente puede quitarle lo que tenga.

This film is classified as a horror film, but really I could appreciate very little horror, I did not have at any time a scene that caused me fear and I did not feel that they wanted to offer that to the viewer. You're not going to find some footage where something unexpected happens and the camera focuses quickly, because that never happens here and based on my opinion the horror is the least of this production. When the boy Josh dreams a sort of terrifying woman appears, but there's no surprise and I don't think it's intimidating either.

There is a bit of suspense in the film, as it is based on what Josh is suffering from, why he is having visions, why he has been sleepwalking and saying words about his mother's murder when he doesn't know what happened. Some scenes of the dreams that Gail has are tense, because they turn out to be nightmares that seem real, but very far from horror and in that aspect I think this film is a little disappointing beyond the plot so little worked.

They could have done a lot with the figure that Josh saw in his dreams, always reflected a woman in front of his bed, but never with great horror and it was until the last moment where you could see a kind of evil spirit wanting to enter his body. As for the paranormal, it was very basic, there was not much creativity and then I could not believe that a child could cause fear to an adult, especially when he only had a small axe and we know that an adult has much more strength and can easily take away whatever he has.

Esta película tiene una duración de 1 hora con 25 minutos, veras que al comienzo tiene gran forma, comienzas a ver pequeños destellos situaciones de tensión, lo cual te hace creer que estará muy buena, pues nada mejor que ir directamente hacia el terror, pero a medida que pasan los minutos te quedas en espera, eso que te hicieron ver no llega nunca y al final terminas viendo algo muy diferente a lo que pensaste. Sinceramente no fue de mi mayor agrado, tampoco diré que es mala, pero buena tampoco la considero, simplemente sirve para pasar un rato.

Me encariñe mucho con el personaje de Gail, pienso que su actuación estuvo brillante y quien vea esta película va conectar rápidamente con ella. Josh es un niño que te puede causar un poco de molestia, porque tiene actitudes muy malas en contra de Gail, mujer que solo quiere lo bueno para el, pero entiendes que esta pasando por malos tiempos y cuando sale su lado bueno empiezas a quererlo. Al final de la película tenemos un pequeño forcejeo, hay una pelea que me pareció muy mala, no me convenció nada de lo que observe.

Me gusta mucho el genero de terror, pero últimamente me ha costado ver un filme que me cause miedo, uno que verdaderamente pueda decir que me encanto y esta no es la excepción. Para cerrar con algo positivo, debo mencionar que nos muestran escenas del nieto de Ruth, aquel niño que mato a su familia, pues esos recuerdos que nos dejan ver me gustaron, están con una gran calidad y fueron muy necesarios dentro de la historia. La película fue lanzada en el año 2020 y actualmente esta disponible en la plataforma de netflix.

This movie has a duration of 1 hour and 25 minutes, you will see that at the beginning it has great form, you begin to see small flashes of tension situations, which makes you believe that it will be very good, because nothing better than going directly to the terror, but as the minutes pass you are left waiting, what they made you see never comes and in the end you end up seeing something very different from what you thought. Honestly I didn't like it, I won't say it's bad, but I don't consider it good either, it's just good to have a good time.

I got very attached to Gail's character, I thought her performance was brilliant and anyone who sees this movie will quickly connect with her. Josh is a boy who can cause you a little discomfort, because he has very bad attitudes against Gail, a woman who only wants what is good for him, but you understand that he is going through bad times and when his good side comes out you start to love him. At the end of the movie we have a little tussle, there is a fight that I found very bad, I was not convinced by anything I watched.

I really like the horror genre, but lately it has been hard for me to see a film that causes me fear, one that I can truly say that I loved and this is no exception. To close with something positive, I must mention that we are shown scenes of Ruth's grandson, the boy who killed his family, because I liked those memories that let us see, they are with a great quality and were very necessary in the story. The film was released in 2020 and is currently available on the netflix platform.
