Gran serie que nos relata la historia de los Vikingos en contra de Inglaterra, comenzamos directamente desde el capitulo 1 con un ataque por parte de Earl Ragnar líder de los vikingos, se dirige hacia el reinado del lord Uhtred y logran acabar con todos y dejando a Inglaterra prácticamente en el dominio de los vikingos. Solo queda la ciudad de Wessex habitada por el rey Alfredo quien deberá pelear para no perder por completo Inglaterra y mantener a todos sus hombres a salvo. Los vikingos van dominando mucho terreno, pero el rey Alfredo junto con la ayuda de un gran combatiente, empiezan hacer mucha resistencia y poco a poco se va creando una gran guerra.

La primera temporada cuenta con 8 capítulos, aquí vamos a ver la historia de supervivencia de Uhtred hijo, niño que acaba siendo secuestrado por los vikingos y lo adoptan en su familia. Cuando crece ocurre un cambio inesperado, queda totalmente solo sin la ayuda de su rey, pero recuerda que tiene un trono en el norte que reclamar, pues Uhtred es el legitimo sucesor del rey Lord Uhtred que murió en batalla frente a los vikingos y comienza la gran aventura de este joven por toda Inglaterra.

Traición hacia el rey vikingo - Betrayal of the Viking king
El joven Uhtred perteneciente de la familia del rey vikingo Earl Ragnar estaba contento, comenzó a sentir mucho afecto por su familia y dejo atrás sus creencias cristianas. Cuando creció presencio la muerte de su padre de crianza, Earl Ragnar quien cayo abatido por el ataque de otro vikingo que buscaba venganza, Uhtred por suerte no estaba en la casa cuando ocurre el atentado, logra verlo todo desde lejos con su acompañante Brida quien iba ser su esposa vikinga, ahora sin la protección de su rey tiene que buscar ayuda en otros reinados, pero se encuentra con la sorpresa que el ejecutor de su padre, comento que había sido Uhtred el asesino de su propio padre Earl Ragnar y los vikingos están en busca de acabar también con su vida.
Uhtred huyendo acaba en Wessex donde esta Alfredo, rey que lo recibe porque desea los conocimientos vikingos de Uhtred y Brida que va junto a el; tienen que ayudar a los cristianos a pelear contra los vikingos que van hacia el reinado de Alfredo, Uhtred muestra una buena capacidad de inteligencia en batalla y poco a poco se va ganando la confianza del rey Alfredo. No le queda nada por el momento, todo lo perdió por la traición que le hicieron a su padre vikingo, solo le queda luchar contra ellos y luego ir en busca de su trono en el norte que le pertenece. Por parte de los vikingos esta el rey Ubba, hombre muy salvaje que solo escucha los mandatos de sus dioses y quiere acabar con Uhtred a igual que con toda Inglaterra para ser el quien domine todos los lugares.
Son muchas misiones importantes que debe realizar Uhtred, tiene que vengar la muerte de su padre vikingo, tiene que hacerles creer a todos que no fue el quien mato a su propio padre, pero estando en la fortaleza cristiana deberá hacer bien su papel de ayudar al rey, esto le va dar la oportunidad de conquistar tierras, poder tener un ejercito que luche bajo su mandato y encarnar su vuelta hacia el norte para reclamar el trono que dejo su padre legitimo. Antes de todo esto, hay que sobrevivir hacia los grandes ataques por parte de los vikingos y no permitir que Wessex también caiga en manos de Ubba.

El camino de Uhtred - The path of Uhtred
Lo mas importante de la primera temporada recae en el camino que embarga Uhtred, persona que debe recuperar su pasado pero no tiene como llegar hasta esa meta, Brida su fiel acompañante decide abandonarlo en una etapa crucial de su vida, le hizo una promesa al rey Alfredo y desea cumplir su palabra antes de ir a vengar a su padre. Pues termina apareciendo Ragnar, hermano de Uhtred que también es hijo de Earl Ragnar que murió en la traición y sabe que Uhtred no seria capaz de asesinar a su propio padre. Brida se va junto a Ragnar a vengar esa muerte, pero Uhtred tiene misiones que cumplir con el rey Alfredo, lo cual se trata de acabar con toda la amenaza vikinga que enfrenta y aquí comienza a crecer el legado del gran Uhtred.
No aburre en absoluto todas las aventuras que tiene que enfrentar Uhtred, se encuentra en alguna ocasión con el rey vikingo Ubba quien desea matarlo, también logra enfrentar una gran batalla contra otro vikingo que quiere manipularlo, pero demuestra mucho su habilidad de combate, no solo para pelear, si no que inteligentemente resulta ser muy estratégico y esto en las guerras es de enorme valor. Hay muchísima acción con supervivencia, además Uhtred logra encontrar una reina que sea su nueva acompañante y logran tener un hijo que deberá ser su próximo heredero al trono que el desea construir.
Estuvo al borde de la muerte muchas veces, pero logra sobrevivir de una manera realista, lo cual me gusta mucho porque no existen falsas ilustraciones imaginarias, la serie nos muestra enfrentamientos que desenlaces que perfectamente pudieran ocurrir y Uhtred como personaje principal tiene gran carisma, cuenta con una historia que te atrapa mucho en la trama y su crudeza en ciertas partes resulta atractiva. Por último decir que el nació siendo cristiano, pero de tanto convivir con los vikingos desarrolla su conducta, luego viendo todos los sufrimientos que pasan en el reino de Alfredo, vuelve nuevamente a cuestionarse sobre la existencia de Dios y su mentalidad comienza a tener muchos cambios que lo llevan actuar diferente en varios escenarios.

It does not bore at all all all the adventures that Uhtred has to face, he meets in some occasion with the Viking king Ubba who wants to kill him, he also manages to face a great battle against another Viking who wants to manipulate him, but he shows a lot of his combat ability, not only to fight, but intelligently he is very strategic and this in wars is of enormous value. There is a lot of action with survival, also Uhtred manages to find a queen to be his new companion and they manage to have a son who should be his next heir to the throne he wants to build.
He was on the verge of death many times, but manages to survive in a realistic way, which I like a lot because there are no false imaginary illustrations, the series shows us confrontations that could perfectly happen and Uhtred as the main character has great charisma, has a story that traps you much in the plot and its rawness in certain parts is attractive. Finally, he was born a Christian, but after living with the Vikings he develops his behavior, then seeing all the sufferings that happen in the kingdom of Alfred, he questions again about the existence of God and his mentality begins to have many changes that lead him to act differently in various scenarios.

Buenas batallas & personajes - Good battles & characters
El ritmo de la serie es totalmente perfecto, tienen un gran balance entre la historia y juntar mucha acción en medio de ella, por cada capitulo nos encontramos con algún enfrentamiento, aunque se puede ver que el presupuesto no es el mas grande, lograron crear una buena producción y las batallas tienen una gran calidad. No hay espacios de relleno a mi parecer, todo tiene una gran concordancia, además suceden sorpresas que personalmente me encantan, hay muertes que nadie esperaba y llegan a pasar; esto suma mucho a la trama y te hace querer ver lo que sigue después de lo acontecido.
Los personajes tienen muy buen valor, Alfredo el gran rey de Wessex genera una mística profunda interesante, Brida siento que va ser una persona con gran relevancia en toda esta historia y Uhtred ya comente que resulta un excelente protagonista. El vikingo Ubba tiene un papel muy salvaje, demuestra gran furia que lo hace ver como gran villano, pero realmente no sabemos quien es el villano de todo, porque no nos podemos dejar llevar por algún bando, cada uno tiene practicas muy malas y engaños que no aportan hacia la confianza de todos.
Aparece una hechicera con rituales de magia que dan un vuelco interesante a la serie, nos da una expectativa que ella será fundamental en todo lo que viene para Uhtred, pues se encuentra junto a el y decide acompañarlo en su camino hacia la última batalla. Su hermano Ragnar logra sobrevivir en la guerra, aunque no aparece tanto en esta primera temporada, estoy seguro que tendrá mas lugar en la próxima, ya que Uhtred ahora si decidió ir hacia el norte, lugar donde lo esperan muchas otras batallas, va en busca de recuperar su lugar y no le va ser nada sencillo tenerlo.
The rhythm of the series is totally perfect, they have a great balance between the story and the action in the middle of it, for each chapter we find some confrontation, although you can see that the budget is not the biggest, they managed to create a good production and the battles have a great quality. There are no filler spaces in my opinion, everything has a great concordance, also there are surprises that I personally love, there are deaths that no one expected and they happen; this adds a lot to the plot and makes you want to see what happens next after what happened.
The characters have very good value, Alfred the great king of Wessex generates an interesting deep mystique, Brida I feel that she will be a person with great relevance in all this story and Uhtred I already commented that he is an excellent protagonist. The Viking Ubba has a very wild role, he shows great fury that makes him look like a great villain, but we really do not know who is the villain of all, because we can not get carried away by any side, each one has very bad practices and deceptions that do not contribute to the trust of all.
A sorceress appears with magic rituals that give an interesting twist to the series, she gives us an expectation that she will be fundamental in everything that comes for Uhtred, because she is next to him and decides to accompany him on his way to the last battle. His brother Ragnar manages to survive in the war, although he does not appear so much in this first season, I am sure that he will have more place in the next one, since Uhtred now decided to go to the north, place where many other battles await him, he is looking to regain his place and it will not be easy for him to have it.

Opinión Final - Final Opinion
La primera temporada me ha parecido muy buena, no tiene desperdicio alguno, apenas arranca el primer capitulo tenemos una gran batalla, comienza la acción y nos van desarrollando la historia del gran Uhtred. Te atrapan rápidamente en la trama que desean llevar entre los vikingos vs Inglaterra, disputa entre religiones que llevaron conflictos durante muchísimos años en la era medieval, aunque buscan llevar una paz mediante tratados, la ambición de poder siempre puede mas y terminan rompiendo la paz durante muchas ocasiones y desarrollando batallas que solo acaban con mucho sufrimiento.
Cada capitulo nos deja con las ganas de ver que sigue, siempre hay un cierre inesperado con mucha tensión, Uhtred escapando de los vikingos y al mismo tiempo ganándose la confianza de los cristianos, tiene que hacer de todo para sobrevivir, son momentos de mucho entretenimiento viendo como se las ingenia para no perder la vida, simplemente nadie lo quiere, pues los cristianos lo ven como un vikingo y los vikingos como un traidor. Pero su astucia para librarse de las amenazas resulta brillante, va creciendo poco a poco y cuando gana una importante batalla su nombre comienza a tener mayor impacto, lo cual deja muchas expectativas abiertas para lo que será la segunda temporada y así mismo visualizar si puede conseguir su objetivo.

Hola. Esta serie la vi completa y desde el principio me engancho que luego busqué series y películas parecidas. La última temporada no fue mi favorita, me sentí en un melodrama y hubo un personaje clave traidor que la percibí de falsa; pero es cierto Utrecht es un buen estratega, un pasado que debe saldar. La expresión que acompaña el intro y es referente en la historia me encanta "El destino lo es todo". Estoy en la espera de la última temporada, espero supere mis expectativas en argumento y la escenografía que siga brutal.

Sabes que la empecé a ver porque vi una persona que le encantó la última temporada, coloco que era mejor que la serie Vikingos y eso me llamo la atención ya que vikingos para mí es top 3 histórica jeje.
Me pondré a ver la segunda temporada, por ahora sí me ha gustado bastante, Uhtred me encanta mucho, pienso que va ser cosas interesantes horita y realmente si engancha la serie.

Yo vi solo la primera temporada y abandone la serie. me ha dado flojera retomarla. No logro engancharme como si lo hizo por ejemplo Vikings. Esta basado en unas extraordinarias novelas, pero cuando la estrenaron yo estaba todavía viendo Juego de Tronos y Vikingos, quizás me sentí saturado de este tipo de series. eso no quiere decir que la retome en el futuro, me ha pasado así con muchas series, que las veo completa años después de haber terminado.
Ya que te gusta las series históricas, no se si llegaste a ver Spartacus. Esa serie si era brutal, violencia, sangre y sexo. Si no la has visto, deberías buscarla. Es muy buena.
Seguro fue que te saturaste, también creo que Vikingos y juego de tronos están muy por ensima, apesar del final malo que tiene Game of thrones, todavía la tengo como una serie espectacular, ojalá la madre de dragones que viene próximamente sea buena y que también puedas retomar esta serie porque no está nada mal.
Si me vi Spartacus completa, fue la primera serie que disfrute de este tipo, hay mucho más de todo lo que mencionas comparando con estas, recuerdo que me gustó muchísimo la de Ganicus, la temporada donde no sale espartaco, aunque después los juntan a los dos y es más increíble aún jeje. Muy buena serie esa.
Si, la precuela, que se hizo porque el actor principal de Spartacus enfermo de cáncer y lamentablemente tuvo que ser sustituido. Spartacus era increíble, esperaba siempre el episodio semanal para mi dosis de sangre, muy influenciada por la película 300. Me gustaba mucho la violencia grafica de la serie.
Exactamente no recordaba que el principal había tenido esa enfermedad, pero si es una gran serie, horita se encuentra completa disponible en netflix, recuerdo que yo me la vi con CD comprados en un reproductor de video de antes, tiene mucha influencia con 300 pero le dieron gran realidad, por lo menos las batallas son fabulosas.
La literatura y cine histórico siempre me han gustado. Tu reseña me atrapó. Los vikingos una cultura llena de mitos y creadores de un mundo que se mueve entre lo salvaje y la civilización será interesante verlo.
