I could be a chicken

Some bizarre and insane yet sane questions were posed and I found interesting to try out. Let's see how that goes🤞🏽.

Attempting questions like these always makes me cringe at the thought of it. Hoping I am not placed in such situations in real life, cus that indeed will be a true representation of

“putting your money where your mouth is”.

Here are the questions and my humble response:

Save one family member from death or 100 people you don't know?

This reminds me of a movie where a family needed money desperately and were given the option to kill a random person they don’t know and become rich just by pressing a red button in a box. Guess what? They pressed the red button with ease. The repercussion was far more detrimental.

To loose my immediate family member will hurt me crazy compared to total strangers that sum up to a hundred who I might not miss or feel as hurt.
Then again these 100 individuals could be parents, kids and loved ones to families to which they will be greatly missed.

If after choosing my relative on hearing about the losses from the other hundred and their mournful family, I will be hunted at the thought of it.

Having said that, to choose between the lives of a hundred strangers over a dear family member is indeed a sad request and one that will leave me damaged on both ends which I will dread to make. Preferably offering myself if that is up for grabs.

Be reborn as a chicken or a snake?

I doubt if returning back to the world a lesser animal will be my desire.

It's scary enough being human and still having a loose grip on what it entails to be termed that, not to talk of the varying result of either being a delicious pot of soup or a thanksgiving dinner model up for munch OR a feared slimy creature that could be a lovely shoe cover design or a pot of healthy soup to people in some parts of the world.

They might not escape their destinies of quick or slow deaths even if they were bigger in sizes maybe providing more quantity for for the captors to deal with gratefully.

Now speaking of captors, the snake can be a bit sneaky and quite difficult to capture hence living a bit longer as well as avoiding the thought of successfully carrying the label of having a chicken brain’- which already as humans feel like a mighty insult.

I will stay in the bushes gliding peacefully through it as that also reduces the level of dust that could get in my eyes or mouth. By ‘my eyes’ I mean the snake’s eyes. Far away from threats of course.

Last but not the least of the questions I chose;

Be able to pause your life, or rewind it?

Having the desire to go to the past would mean I have regrets, to which the response will be a no!
I would love for a pause though (if and only if I could regroup and still handle things while everything and everyone paused) as everything seems to be speeding up beyond comprehension so I could get a grip of things then forge ahead more beautifully.

Just imagining how I could walk in the midst of individuals stopped in their tracks motionless till a snap of a finger (mine of course) brings them back to life. I know... too much movies and cartoons has resulted to this imagination but What if?.
Won't that just be awesome?
