For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.
Back with another full-packed show tonight and well it might not be all the useful stuff. Tonight I stepped into a weird Youtube Loop that took me places.....
Well just have a listen to all the gems I dug up for you this week, enjoy the trip!
Of course, you should honor the Old Man and I actually think these guys did a great job. I for one was impressed by how well Neil Young sounds in a that is 40 years newer.

I love that mixing of styles, music should never have to fit a single label, these next guys are a perfect example of how combining styles can be freakin refreshing.
Flipsyde - Someday (Official Video)
Someday was one of the few songs I discovered myself and turned into a dance floor classic. It would mix great with N.E.R.D.s she wants to move, but tonight I felt more like a Latin Linkin Park.

But this is what I stumbled upon when looking for it. The sound quality is not perfect, but the arrangement is so cool that I just had to throw it in there tonight.

An Epic 2-minute intro, normally I am a sucker for lyrics but in this case, I did not miss them for 120 seconds and could have missed for 360 seconds. Why did I get stuck in Spain, so close but why did I never make it to America Latina?

What the fluff are midnight gems?
Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.
My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.
Who the fluff am I?
Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years...Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.

Nice to see some inhaler in there! I saw Greenday in concert a long time ago. They put on a really good show. I just finished watching 1899 the other day. They did a really good job with the music on that. Gotta say, I love the Latin stuff you threw in there! Very awesome. I have been listening to a lot of Buena Vista Social Club lately.
I met Green day i the club I used to play, they came there after their gig and I did not know they were in so I played the song and I think it was the drummer that came to the DJ booth as me to play something different than this shit I was playing.....
But Buena Vista Social Club is very nice you should listen to Orichas the el Kilo album that is what really got me into that Latin vibe again

Oh the place I worked was great I met many artists that wanted to have a cool after party; Motorhead (I had an argument with the drummer), Bloodhound gang (really nice guys) Shane Mcgowen from The Pogues (we ha dto throw him out as he was too drunks) and those guys from the scooby snacks song. Oh and several metal bands like Therion and Bullets for my Valentine.....It was a cool place as we were the only alternative place near the podium in the city so many of them dropped by.
Wow! That is pretty cool. Funny story there about the Pouges guy!
Oh, nunca he escuchado Linkin Park - Numb en español, mis oídos casi no se han podido acostumbrar... me faltaba el sonido más crudo y bruto, así ha salido muy triste pero tierno (en realidad sí que es triste esta canción)

Oh I can read Spanish just dont make me write it. I love Linkin Park they had that X factor thingy btw if you want the raw Spanish / Latin version you should try this:
