Noise.App Update - Noise Rewards Are Slowing Down!?!

Things change quickly in crypto,

One day FTX was the knight in shining armor coming to the rescue the next day it´s the dark horse. That is kinda what I and I think many Noise.App users have been experiencing these last couple of days.

And as always it´s all about the money. As I mentioned in my previous post about the Noise. App:

As I have been tracking a bit my daily donations, which are expected to come from the platform I can tell you that they are sufficient to keep me active. Let's say they are between$1 and $2 a day for these last two weeks.

But with Noise, you can never assume it is normal or will remain as such. Because these last 24 hours I have noticed a downside change. This change caused my donations to drop to about 50 cents a day. Now from past experiences, I know Noise love to play with their donation algorithms so this might be temporary.

Temporary???

And I have not been the only that noticed this, hence people start reaching out to Noise´s part-time developer Simon:

That is the great thing about Noise, it´s one big mystery. There is no way to contact anybody with your questions. There is no official communication, and there has not been any for over a year. And there is no one sending money to anyone.

Well, most of the above is true, except for the last part. After I previously exposed the Donations came from the same address during the testing phase, they now have multiple addresses. But that does not fool anyone. Noise and the people behind this BCH adoption promotion platform have not changed. The funds were previously provided by Noise.Cash are now distributed by Noise.App and coming from the same whale pockets.

As I can not provide any proof I will not call the guys by their names, but to have a name let´s just call them Marc & Co.

It´s more about what this guy "ShitPost something" is saying.

As of that date, November 5th, donations changed drastically.

Did Marc & Co go Bust?

The 5th of November was a black day for many people just starting on the Noise App. Where they previously were making between 15 and 40 cents a day posting and enjoying the app, on Nov 5th there was not a cent. Normally they got like 2 or 3 cents every couple of hours but now the notifications from their BCH Wallets remained silent.

It was until the next day (Nov 6) they got one, but no longer the number of donations they were accustomed to. Fewer notifications meant less BCH (just FYI this data is not from my account but someone close to me):

And this was prior to that dark day:

And as per "ShitPost Something´s" comment this happened to multiple Noisers. While others still received frequent donations but a lot smaller in value than before.

Should we Worry?

Yes, you should always worry about using a platform that does no communications and provides no instruction or guidelines regarding monetization. This is Uber Centralized, meaning you have no control at all. They can make the faucet stop dripping any second.

Hence one never knows, but I have been Noising around for some time and what I can say is that Noise like to experiment. And it looks like they are currently experimenting with their donation algorithm. Oops, I guess I can´t say that because Noise does not send the donations.

I just saw some indications that they changed it again on 7 Nov, still not back to what it used to be. But give them some time, they will figure out a way that doesn´t break the BCH bank and will keep you and me Noising!

And if you ain't noising yet, here´s an invite to start noising around: https://noise.app/invite/wopgogxy

Noise.app is indeed a mystery! I'm still pretty happy with the rewards sent to me. Sure there were a couple of dry days but the last, few have been good. Here are my rewards from today only:

Looking very similar to mine indeed. I have the feel that they are again improving, but my gf is still only getting one 4 cent reward a day atm

Interesting. I'd like to know the things affecting the rewards. I think the current price of BCH is one, own activity and perhaps the quality of content. Could it also be that the number of likes and replies could have some effect?

Well my gf posts like me 3 times a day, but as her English si not so good she does not comment a lot. She has 100 followers, creates okay content and does hit the like on other content. But I am thinking along the same line you are, interaction and quality content could impact the algorithm

Ok, so maybe commenting counts too! Just had another reward which was 0.000510, the previous one was 0.00045, so I'm guessing that is due to the fact that the markets are falling...

noise.cash stopped giving me rewards even when they had some BCH. I haven't been back to any of their sister sites since.

This is so apt and completely worrisome. The poor communication doesn't look great for them at all. Hopefully they fix up.

Same old stuff I see, people complaining they are not earning enough.
Just like the old noise, if you are rewarded with tips then that is great, but they don't owe you anything. In none of the .cash or now noise.app does it say you will be earning anything...
I was on noise and read over two years ago and slowed down using them. I did join noise.app a wee while ago and if I get rewarded some BCH then great, if not then so be it.

Very much agree, but there are those less fortunate than me that kind depend on it to actually buy food for their families, a sudden change in the algorithm like this can be very upsetting. But as I have seen in the past normally that change is temporary, hence I hope they are slightly reassured by my past experiences. I cant imagine how life would be depending on tips from a platform.

Unfortunately, I am total agreement with you how upsetting it is, but as I have told lots of people in the past they need to be also looking for gigs that pay guaranteed earnings not treating these platforms as sources of regular income. When they reward you, they are great and when they don't they are a pain in the arse, and you are screwed. Openly complaining about the lack of pay can have a detrimental effect in some cases.
That being said, I hope your reassurances come true, but the BCH ones have always been a law unto themselves🤣

I think that is the truest thing said today

Social media sites powered by crypto don't owe anybody anything. Reward values can undulate depending on crypto prices, your activity, the activity of others, the quality of content... bespoke algorithms !LOLZ ... in the end just be active, produce quality, engage well, and let the chips fall where they may... and if you find a platform does not work for you, for whatever reason... move on... !PIZZA
Dropped in from Dreemport this evening.

Absolutely, only Noise has a lot of people in the not so wealthy parts of the world and they kinda depend on the tips. So if there is a change they get worried, now I have no crystal ball but I have seen it happen before and so far it´s always temporary. So I hope this reinsured them somewhat, because it must be horrible depending on a platform like that to be able to buy milk

I hear you. That is why I suggested people move on if they are not receiving what they need out of a platform. If you are relying on content creation as your main source of income or a heavy contributor to your total wage, it's important to invest your time and energy wisely, and be able to adapt to changes in the social media landscape when they impact adversely. I appreciate its not easy, and I do hope that for those who rely on Noise, that the issues they have are temporary. !ALIVE
