TTT [Week 42] - Tune Tune Train "This Nightrain is so easy"
And we are Back!
Like Every Week:
The Tune Tune Train connects songs, which can be done in many ways. For example three songs from the same movie, then the connection is the soundtrack. Or three songs from people that used to form a band, the connection would be that band. But it can even be three songs about Qatar. Which would make the connection the soccer world cup.
It´s up to you Dear Reader to figure out what connects the train. Or wait till I solve the riddle in next week's post.
We Have No Winner
Guess I will have to make it easier for you all this week because no winner is no fun.
So what was last week's connection?
It was the same answer, well almost the same as last week when it was Andrew Wood.
What did we have as clues?
Eric Clapton - Crossroads - Tales Of Brave Ulysses: I used the version showing the album cover, as that album cover was created by our connection. That is why I used:
Pete Townshend - Face The Face
Using Pete solo and not the who was another clue, both Pete and our connection studied at the Ealing School of Art College, as did Freddie Mercury. In addition, it has the reference to Face and face making it Faces.
Who was part of The (Small) Faces? Indeed Sir Rod Stewart, and that brings us to the next and final clue:
Rod Steward - Sweet Lady Mary
This song was written by our connection the honorable; mr. Ronnie Wood and originally performed by The Faces where Ron and Rod sort of started their musical journeys.
So to make sure we get a winner this week, I am going to make it super easy! That might mean you have to be fast.
First one that gets the connection gets a nice Ecency Boost on his/hers latest post.
All Aboard!
The Tune Tune Train is taking off!
Don´t be ashamed if you did not hear about this guy yet, his first EP is only this year and this video did not even reach a million views yet....
But if this guy makes sure he doesn´t get too F´ed up to much, I expect amazing songs. Keeping it small, keeping it honest and vulnerable with that voice.....that is a Gem in my book.
Peter Raffoul - F***ed Up Together
I wouldn´t dare playing a Pink Floyd cover, this song has the same title but that is where any comparison with those boomers end.
Or maybe not, Bliss shows the same hypnotic power some of the Pink Floyd songs portray, but as soon as she starts singing I get this Dido feel. Now I love Dido, don´t get me wrong, but somehow Dido´s greatest like Dido - Here with Me just makes me wish Bliss was here.
Bliss - Wish You Were Here
Now before I leave you there is just this little thing:
"Bloody tears" CastleVania Cover
Are you still there dear reader?
Did that blow your eardrums, or your mind?
Personally, I am a sucker for good lyrics, but once in a while, I trip over a song that does not need a single word. These guys and dolls do amazing stuff, but this one is just bloody amazing.
Let me know if you figure out what connects these three songs.
Leave your answer in the comments, first to get it right, gets a nice Ecency Boost!
The connection and winner will be featured in next week's #TTT
This sounds so lovely. It evokes a lovely atmosphere of peace and Joy. Thanks for sharing @whywhy
Is the connection supposed to be a person or a thing? Does it change from week to week. I mean person versus thing. I haven't heard of any of these songs. Besides the Castlevania one, so I am at a loss here.
Thanks Bozz for pointing out I should not just copy paste last weeks words. Here is the updated version now that I turned it into this riddle-me this type of thing.
Now I hope this makes more sense although I am sure you might have gotten last weeks one as well, this one is easy.... if you are on Hive and like music
Thanks, I appreciate it. I am sure it is just me. Other people probably had it figured out. I tend to be slow sometimes and I am still coming off a long weekend!
Don't worry, I never get them!
Glad I am not alone!
hehe they are not easy to get!
What lovely sound and lyrics.
Found through @dreemport
I am going to say crying...
Popped in from Dreemport tonight 🙂
Well at least you gave it a go, did not hit anything but nice shot and thanks for popping in.
Glad to have stumbled here from dreemport, I really enjoyed your picks! Will definitely be checking out more Peter Raffoul!
I would say that an obvious connection is that there is piano in all three, however I think there is a better one. All three songs relate to a theme of loneliness, a barrier to connection. Wrapped up perfectly with a favorite of mine, the last song of course makes the connection because of the Castlevania story line. Dracula fell in love with Lisa, who believed in human goodness, and they had a son (Alucard). She was a kindhearted healer, until she was killed for witchcraft. This turned Dracula against humanity, and Alucard against his father.
WOW, you just astonished me. I chose a very easy connection but when I was putting them together I did look for a bit more and indeed I came to the point they are all about missing someone/being alone, but as I wanted to make it easy this time I have put in two connections. But you found the difficult one so congrats and thanks for playing.
Boost was sent to your latest article which was my cup of tea. very nice twisted fairytale-

Peter Raffoul - F***ed Up Together -- Really enjoyed the sincerity and honesty of that performance and I must agree I reckon Peter is going places and here's hoping fame does not change him as he has that something rare in a musician, that charisma and care free nature.
Bliss - Wish You Were Here -- Wow that whole experience was amazing, a great song, but the way it went along with the cinematography was unreal, some of the footage and the messages conveyed were breath taking. Quality stuff from you man, fair play.
Thanks, I was pretty happy with those two as well.
Just finished the next one, it will be a bit of a way-back machine with some songs that might not sound like me, but it was time for something different.... guess I am just too eclectic if it comes to music. And it should have an easy-to-solve connection for a brother audience..... I hope.
