West Ham United hosted Manchester United for a Premier League match on Saturday and one of the talking points is David Moyes substituting Mark Noble on to take the spot kick that was conceded by Luke Shaw at the last minute of the game. Mark Noble's penalty kick was saved by Manchester United's goalkeeper, David De Gea and it sealed a complete 3 points for the red devils.

The decision for Mark Noble to be brought on to take the spot kick have been argued by so many sports analysts to be a bad one. Noble didn't warm up and doesn't have the feeling of the intensity of the game yet which might be one of the reason he was not composed enough to score the penalty kick. Moyes could have trusted one of his forwards who have been in the game to take up the challenge but rather he bottled it.

This is a wake up call for everyone of us, irrespective of our qualifications and achievements, we should learn to think well before making certain decisions in life, especially those that can be very costly. Experience is a great teacher - no doubt about that.

Moyes could have learnt from the England v Italy situation in the Euro finals when Rashford and Sancho were substituted into the game solely for the penalty kick which they missed. In life, the experiences of people around us should be an eye-opener for us. We should try as much as possible not to fall into the same ditch that we have seen someone fall into.

In other words, we should pay attention to happenings around us and apply some of the useful experiences we have gathered in our life.

It was a very bad decision but it worked for my team.

You cannot just bring someone in and put that kind of pressure on him
