PATIENCE: RISKS OF DRIVING YOUR LIFE ON THE FAST LANE

avatar

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. The consequences of making money in an illegal or dirty way is not usually something that is appealing to the sight in the end. It is either they are being arrested, humiliated in the public and duly punished for their actions. The humiliation will not only affect the person that is directly involved in the act but everyone that is related especially family and close friends. This is the major reason coaches, motivational speakers, clerics, parents, etc encourage people to be patient because it's a virtue. Well, sit back, relax and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.

We have read in the newspaper and on social media how people are been arrested for embezzling public funds, burgling people's properties, kidnapping people to get ransom, pickpocketing, cyber fraud, money rituals and so on. The lack of patience will not make these people remain the same in life because some may lose their life while serving their jail time or even begin to live a lonely life because they are afraid of what people will say about them. Most times, all the wealth they have acquired will be taken away and they have to start from the scratch.

The journey of life is one that should be taken one after the other with so much patience. Of course, we all want to live a good life, work in a good company, drive latest cars, wear trendy outfits but we do not need to acquire them in a rush. Those days in the university there are some of my colleagues who lived a lavish lifestyle on campus due to the illegal acts they were engaging in. Their lifestyle was intimidating at some point because they use the latest phones, drive cars and so on but some of us stayed focus on the reason we were in school. They were unable to focus on their academics because they have to share their time with other activities that are not adding positively to their life.

There was a man who lost his job in a company that was paying him so well because he was guilty of some fraudulent activities in the company's account. He didn't learn his lesson from his dismissal at work, maybe he wanted to learn it in a bitter way. Alcohol became a part of his life due to his joblessness and on one of his visit to his favorite lounge he met with some of his friends that introduced him to a shady business where he was promised to make huge amounts of money. He joined their gang to carry out evil activities in the society but he was unlucky to have been apprehended on his first day. He was beaten to death by angry mobs who were fed up of being terrorized in their own community. See where impatience led him to.

There is a popular saying that "Rome was not built in a day". This means that it takes a gradual process to achieve a great feat in life. There are people who genuinely make wealth in a legal and clean manner by taking baby steps. Don't put your life on the line like a driver who is overspeeding and overtaking everyone, sometimes it is better to use the slow lane.
