Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. Today, we celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ, which is popularly known as Christmas. It is a day when Christians around the world look forward to every year to come together and celebrate. The birth of Jesus is not just a celebration that ends with only dining and wining. It is a time when Christians reflect on the essence of the coming of Jesus Christ to the world to save the world from the hands of sin and evil. Well, sit back, relax and enjoy all that I have packaged for your reading pleasure.

In the spirit of celebration, most Churches do hold special service on the 24th of December, which is known as Christmas Eve Service and on the 25th of December, the Christmas Service. My Church was not left out as we held three different Holy Mass today. The first Mass started by 6.30am, the second one by 7.30am and the last one by 9am. I attended the 9am mass and it was a glorious one filled with so many beautiful voices singing praises to the Lord.

The Holy Mass that held this morning was more like a reunion because I saw many of my friends who were out of town for months and it was a good time to share some hugs and good wills. This is what Christmas period is known for - a time when people celebrate with so much love in the air. It is a time when people come together to share the spirit of love and oneness that was brought to us by the birth of Jesus Christ.

Also, the society in the church that is associated with helping the less privileged in the society for over two months have been soliciting for funds, household items, used clothes, food etc. These items will be distributed to the less privileged later this evening so that they will also enjoy the Christmas festivities. Some of the places that will be visited include correctional centres and Orphanage Homes. Most of these people do not have families that look out for them and this is why the Church and NGOs fill these vacuum.

I'd like to use this medium to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance. No matter how small, try to put a smile on someone's face today (and always). You'd not know how much the thing you call little will do for some people. Remember to stay safe, as well.
