I was internally applauding myself for abiding in all the unwritten rules till I saw “don’t upvote your comments”. I don’t but I do upvote my posts, thank God you agree it’s not an issue. And aside from the fact that it’s like supporting yourself, I also thought it doesn’t count that’s why I do it!

Different people feel different ways about that one. For the most part people just ignore it, but you may run into that one random person who doesn't like that you upvoted your own post.
