This is a place where biting the hand that feeds you has consequences. When you aren't nice and people don't like it... there can be consequences. You can edit your posts all you like... but the blockchain still has the data and nothing is ever truly deleted. So, you can cry about web 3.0 and whales but it would suit you better to just take responsibility for what you said and take accountability.
Telling someone that gives you a generous upvote for curation FU is some web 2.0 social media behavior we don't want here on HIVE!
It's not a generous vote no, it works like this: I create content for Splinterlands = They return votes, if I don't create I don't get any votes no to no generosity in it just interest for both parties.
Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the little fish in the sea that still interacts with other people's posts, as almost 70% just create posts, rarely do you find a post with comments above 5.
As for the blockchain, believe me, I've already participated in the development of one and I know that it's not possible to delete it, I'm just encouraging the lack of interest in looking for this content through hiveblocks, we wouldn't waste enough time for that.
Actually, curation votes are given out at the discretion of the curator and are not garunteed. So, any curation is generous because it doesn't work like this: You create content for Splinterlands = They return votes.
There's a whole team of curators and to say FU to one of them might as well be saying to the whole team and to Splinterlands as a whole. I curate for Splinterlands and OCD. You wouldn't tell the OCDB upvotes you get SOMETIMES from your Gaming posts 'FU'. No content creator anywhere on HIVE is guaranteed votes... so that is a wrong way of trying to look at this situation.
We were all little fish at one point. Not telling the bigger fish 'FU' is a good strategy to grow and succeed here. I don't even get to participate in the contests for Splinterlands since i am curator... so it's sad to see people squander the privilege for potential curation and participation just because they are ungrateful. Just my humble opinion. Thanks for this civil exchange.
