Merry Christmas Hive - A Hiveball For All Of You!

This is my first Hiveball ever. Hopefully more will be coming. I wanted the first one to be for all of my friends, old and new alike.

This one has various shades of honey and sunlight swirling within it. It's hung upon flowing honey.

Encircling the ball is an intricate honeycomb, expertly crafted into shapes never attempted by Beekind. This was done to celebrate what may very well Bee Hive's best Christmas so far.

Here are the fractal images used to create it. The golden one was replicated many times and flipped at different angles to create the swirling effect.

I truly hope that everyone here has a wonderful holiday season, even those who don't celebrate. Find something to be grateful for. Help someone you might normally walk right by. Smile at someone who is having a hard day.

Whether you look forward to this time each year, or are just starting to hear about Christmas, please know that it is a time for magic. Not always the type that lets Santa fly through the sky, but still a very special type of magic.

Sometimes the magic can come in the form of a surprise visit by a child who hasn't even called in years. Or a call from a sibling who vowed to never make contact again, over some long forgotten dispute. It's also the season for married couples to rekindle their passion for one another.

There is also the magic of giving. What is more priceless than seeing someone's face light up, when they get that item which they want or need more than anything else in the world?

And how about the magic of changing a life? There are so many who are down on their luck. What might be small for you, could make a world of difference to them. If you are well off, do you perhaps know someone who is looking for a job? Maybe one of your older suits / set of business clothes would help them at an interview. Better yet, maybe you know of someone looking to hire?

Let's not forget about the magic of childhood. Create a fun memory, by helping a child to see the magic of Christmas.

It's always fun to give anonymously. You can choose a family which you know will have a lean Christmas, and make a box or bag for them. Use your imagination, it doesn't even need to be expensive. And then put it on the porch, knock, run, and hide.

It's also the time of year when we tend to notice those who are normally "invisible" despite being right in front of us. The homeless, and those who are barely able to keep a roof over their head. While giving money could be risky, in that you don't know how it'll be used, perhaps you can think of something more creative?
