My Splinterlands regrets

Yes, I do have some splinterlands regrets. Not buying cards when I should have and now when I look at the price I just want to forget about it. But you can't forget when you need a certain card in a certain situation and you don't use it because you don't have it maxed :(. This is what happened today and I was pretty frustrated.

The purpose of posting is if you get the opportunity just take it don't wait for the right time because sometimes the right time never comes. Back then when I joined splinterlands and when I was a regular blogger just because I wanted to purchase splinterlands cards I didn't wait for the right time and I purchased my favourite cards whenever I had enough money. All those cards I purchased just for 50, 60$ are now hundreds of dollars. But you know when you rarely use any cards then you just keep avoiding them and you don't max them you think they are expensive right now let's wait for the little price drop. In my case, it never happened and let me show you the card I am talking about.

By the grace of God, I have a pretty sharp memory so i still remember the day when I wanted to max my wood but I didn't. At that time 1 BCX Gold foil Wood price was 0.7$ and I thought it is expensive and let it get back to 0.5$ just for 20 cents I missed the golden opportunity. Now today when i needed this card badly I realised I don't have it maxed i didn't use it. I went to the market in order to check the prices but when i looked at the price chart I was like damn no way I am going to spend that much money on a common card. Only 26 woods are on the market and the lowest price is 37$/BCX :( My procrastination and waiting for the right time will cost me hundreds of dollars if i really want to max my card. Anyways i am not going to upgrade her.

The same thing happened with Epona. I didn't purchase her when she was being traded at 35$/BCX later I purchased maxed 11 BCX Epona for 3500$ :/. Anyways I am not repeating my past mistakes this is the reason without any delay I maxed my chaos deck asap.

Moral: Buy your favourite card right away. :P XD

Yes, there rarely seems like a good time to buy some of these older cards. But, when you look back, you realize that they aren't going to get any cheaper. You might get lucky on a card or two here and there where somebody just wants to get rid of it and you get a good deal, but even then they still end up costing a LOT more than you could have gotten them when you originally were looking at them.

With that in mind, I literally finished maxing out my Chaos deck yesterday. I bit the bullet and bought the last two Doctor Blights I needed for around $100 each and I now have every regular foil Chaos card maxed. Unfortunately, I came to the game too late to max any of the sets before that. I'm still working on getting them all to Gold League level and I'm getting there, but I'm sure I could probably spend another $10k just to fill out the ones I'm missing. And like I said, that's just to Gold League level. Probably cost me $50k to max them out and even that wouldn't be enough if you start factoring in Legendary summoners.

Oh well. I'm happy to be where I am and I'll just keep chipping away.

So remember, as much as you might be kicking yourself for a few cards here and there, you're still waaaaaay ahead of 99.9% of the players out there.
