RE: How Committed Are You To Making Hive The Best That It Can Be?

avatar

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

How far are you willing to push yourself?

There is no need to push anything. Just use the platform naturally. For example see YouTube. People are using it naturally. The interactions are genuine. Not forced. And the comments are often funnier than the videos.

The nature of the interactions is a big problem on Hive. People push/force themselves and even others to interact with each other. You can obviously notice/see that many of the comments are not natural, not genuine. There is no real interest behind them. Except the intention to grab the attention of the publisher.

A successful platform does not require its users to push themselves, because everything comes naturally/genuinely.

Interesting point, I have to agree partially. This comes with the incentivization. If e.g. comments couldn´t be upvoted (technically), there would be far less comments, I assume.
But with pushing I think the author meant spend more time & efforts in creating something useful, not comment scamming. E.g. to create Dapps, start initiatives, communities, etc.

The comment upvotes on YouTube are not generating (direct) income for the authors of the comments, yet even the smallest YouTubers have comments. This is because the incentivization is the content itself (and/or the content creator). People are actually interested in the content and/or in the author of the content.

Silence is all you get if you're not sucking up. Fucking tardtustic is a faggot.

Comment upvotes works both ways and due to the monetisation of content on Hive, people are also concern on their reputation here.

You can just spam comments on Youtube, writing crap and nothing happens. Try that here and you won't last very long. So content is very important, but your reputation is even more so.

You can just spam comments on Youtube, writing crap and nothing happens.

Except that the channel owners may mute/ban you. Some channels even have pre-moderation, which means that they check your comment, before (if) they let it out. Spam is not welcomed nowhere.

When I say push, I mean in terms of building a business. Hive is much more than just a social media, interact like this is youtube.

If that is all you think it is, then you miss the entire point of Web 3.0.

I think when you see #hive newcomers, they come for the easy money. By the time they see this is not the case they start acting up for a vote.
As you say using #youtube looks natural cause it is either you watch videos or you make videos.
Sometimes I go to youtube for the comments cause they are outrageous funny.

Nevertheless #hive could change the way folks earn, that way the natural can come flowing. Many folks do not understand Hive as well. DO not forget #hive is running toward decentralization. It is crypto at its center core.
Push or not #hive is a place where hard work will pay off.

I think I get it and I use it the best I can and the way I know I find joy doing it.
