This week we were tasked with using the card Efreet Elder. This card is amazing. I had a lot of fun winning matches with him. He really shines in the last slot with his last stand ability. I didnt have one prior to this challenge so I picked one up for .45 cents because his stats looked good on paper. I think they are even better in a match! Totally worth it very happy with the purchase and happy to expand my collection.

My Team

Living Lava

The tank of my squad. Takes reduced damage from melee and ranged attackers. Using him to let Efreet Elder get some damage in before he powers up to finish the match off

Flame Monkey

I had a kind guild mate lend me some gold cards so I could advance to the next rank and decided to utilize this one. He didn't see much play but he did his job of chump blocking damage.

Just another body

Spark Pixies

A ranged attacker with 1 health. A glass cannon chump blocker. Even though I added a bunch of bodys to stall the match I didnt want monsters with ridiculous health so he was nice for the 4 mana. His flying ability means nothing to me in this match though.

Efreet Elder

1 magic damage, 8 health and 3 speed for 6 mana.. that sounds nice right? Well it gets even better. He has the last stand ability which pumps up all of his stats when he is the only monster left on ur team.

Round 6:

  • My Efreet Elder attacks to Enemy Goblin Fireballer for 2 and kills it.

I know the whole point of Efreet Elder is to activate his last stand ability but I decided to throw a bunch of bodys infront of him so he could deal as much damage directly to my opponents health as possible before powering up. It worked in my favor my opponent chose a summoner who boosts armor when my main way of dealing damage this match was magic. I can see this card getting a lot more use. I'm very glad I purchased it. Him and his last stance ability is very welcome in a color that don't offer many magic options. I love doing these weekly challenges because they open your eyes to new cards you might not normally try. I think my plan was executed well this time and wouldn't change a thing! using him in the back is a must.
